CTRL-Sync Lotw QSOs?

Jim Miller, AB3CV

If someone holds down CTRL when pressing Sync Lotw QSOs and if the log is already full of QSOs will the resultant operation dupe all the existing ones or just update their status?

Thanks

No; "Sync LotW QSOs" does not create QSO records in your log - it only
updates existing ones (whether limited to the changes since last sync
or not). The tooltip probably could be more explicit about that. You
can/should always backup your log before a major operation like this,
"just in case", of course.

+ This function updates each logged QSO’s status re acceptance by LoTW. No duplicate log entries are created.

+ This operation should only be necessary after moving to DXKeeper from another logging application that cannot include LoTW acceptance information in the ADIF file it generates.

+ The recommend procedure is to invoke “Sync LoTW QSOs” (without depressing the CTRL key) at the end of each operating session after newly-logged QSOs have been submitted to LoTW. This keeps your logged QSOs up-to-date with LoTW acceptance. Some op follow the invocation of “Sync LoTW QSOs” with “Sync LOTW QSLs” (also without depressing the CTRL key), which updates your logged QSOs to reflect their confirmation by LoTW;  other ops invoke “Sync LoTW QSLs” at the beginning of each operating session.
