PSK,PSK31, Data ? Log mining
Andrew OBrien
I'm examining old log info, logs for 1999-2003 . Some of this has been rebuilt from ADIF imports. I am trying to identify PSK31 QSOs , distinct from other PSK variants and distinct from the generic "data" tag . I think many of the QSOs were from before PSK31 had its own ADIF name. IF I am correct, DXkeeper logs PSK31 as "PSK" for "Mode" and then "PSK31" as a "submode". What would the easiest way , if any, for me to change several hundred QSOs logged as RTTY in 1999-2003 to PSK mode and PSK31 submode . Just manually ?

IF I am correct, DXkeeper logs PSK31 as "PSK" for "Mode" and then "PSK31" as a "submode". + That's not correct, Andy. DXKeeper logs PSK31 with a mode of PSK31. If you filter your Log Page Display with the expression MODE='PSK31' + you will see all of your PSK31 QSOs. You can also do this using the "Mode Filter" panel on the "Advanced Sorts, Filters, and Modifiers" window. + ADIF represents PSK31 QSOs with <MODE:3>PSK <SUBMODE:5>PSK31 + but ADIF only specifies the way that a QSO is represented in a file or message being conveyed from one application to another; it does not govern how applications actually store or represent QSOs. What would the easiest way , if any, for me to change several hundred QSOs logged as RTTY in 1999-2003 to PSK mode and PSK31 submode . Just manually ? + You can make those changes en masse: 1. backup your log 2. filter the Log Page Display to contain only the RTTY QSOs whose mode you wish to change to PSK31; double check this to make sure you've isolated the QSOs whose mode you wish to modify 3. in the "Modify QSOs" panel at the bottom of the "Advanced Sorts, Filters, and Modifiers" window, 3a. set the "Item name" selector to Mode 3b. set the "Item new value" selector to PSK31 3c. click the Mod button + All of the QSOs in your Log Page Display will now have their mode set to "PSK31" + Some relevant documentation for step 2 above: https://www.dxlabsuite.com/dxkeeper/Help/SQL.htm + Some relevant documentation for step 3 above: https://www.dxlabsuite.com/dxlabwiki/QSOModifying 73, Dave, AA6YQ |

I was able to fine an old backed-up full log from DXkeeper , saved in 2009 . That had all my 1999-2003 PSK31 QSOs correctly logged .
