RTTY with K4D using AFSK
Gordon LaPoint N1MGO
I'm using RTTY with my K4 using AFSK, the Xcvr Frequency display (at the top of the WinWarbler window) matches the radio and commander, however the waterfall frequency display is off by the 2125 mark offset. It shows 7078 (aprox) when the radio shows 7082. What do I have setup wrong.
I would use FSK, but this is a remote setup and I have no way to do FSK, just AFSK. Thanks, Gordon - N1MGO |

Additional info: Looking at the signal on my home station the K4 is txing on 7082, as shown on my K3 in FSK mode.

Assuming the K4 is similar to the K3 in this respect, when it is in AFSK A mode the dial displays the mark frequency, not the suppressed carrier frequency as it would in SSB or DATA A mode. In that case, you need to set the Mark Offset in WinWarbler to -2125, the same as you would for FSK. See <http://www.dxlabsuite.com/dxlabwiki/K3PSKRTTY>.

Rich,
thanks! I will check that out later
today. Yes it's the same as the K3, or supposed to be. I have
never run my K3 AFSK, always FSK.

I just finished checking out the fix
for the K4 AFSK frequency. The suggestion from Rich fixed it,
Thanks!
