Empty Need Database in SpotCollector and Error Logging to DXKeeper

But spots will only be shown after Control-X is selected in SpotCollector, clearing all filters. In addition, when a QSO is logged by WSJT-X this error message pops up:

Unable to log QSO with JG3EWE on 12m in FT8: DXKeeper did not execute the Log directive within 15 seconds.
If DXKeeper is executing another function, wait for that function to complete, and then try logging the QSO again.

However, the QSO actually is logged to DXKeeper.

+ That's a symptom of interference from another application, most likely your anti-malware. Have you configured your anti-malware to consider WSJT-X and your DXLab applications to be "Safe".
*** I use Malwarebytes, and it has always been configured to consider DXLab applications to be safe. I just added wsjtx.exe to that list.

@ Malwarebytes is known to interfere with the operation of DXLab and other applications. See

https://www.dxlabsuite.com/dxlabwiki/ApplicationInteference

@ In particular, note the Malwarebytes section at the end of this article.

@ While Malwarebytes may not be responsible for all of the misbehavior you are reporting, it's active presence prevents methodical debugging.

After experimenting with multiple standalone WSJT-X configurations I have run into problems with my standard DXLab setup that had previously worked quite well.

+ What changes did you make to your SpotCollector configuration while experimenting? Do you have a Workspace that was populated with SpotCollector settings from before your experimentation?
*** I made no changes to the SpotCollector configuration.  No, I don't have a Workspace.

Now the SpotCollector Need database is empty despite visible blue or red color coded spots when all spots are displayed.

+ There is no "Need database". Do you mean that when you activate SpotCollectos Need filter, no entries appear in the Spot Database Display? If that's the case, did you make any changes to your award objectives on the Awards tab of DXKeeper's Configuration window?
*** Yes, I was talking about what used to appear when the SpotCollector "Need" filter was selected.  That panel now is blank.
*** No, I did not make any changes to my award objectives.

DXKeeper performs an unnecessary log sorting operation as evidenced by this message:

There is no Log Page Display Sort specified; Sorting the Log Page display by QSO date.

+ DXKeeper's Log Page Display must be sorted in *some* order. If you haven't selected an option in the Sort panel in the lower-left corner of DXKeeper's Main window, it assumes "increasing order of QSO date" and informs you of its assumption.
*** I was surprised to see that the selection in the Sort Panel was "User" rather than the "UTC" that I normally use.  Reverting to "UTC" restores normal logging without the two error messages listed above.  So at least that problem is resolved.
+ Is there an errorlog.txt file in your SpotCollector or DXKeeper folders? If so, please attach them to an email message, and send the message to me via
*** Yes, there are errorlog.txt files in those folders but the last entries are very old (2020 for DXKeeper and May 2022 for SpotCollector).  I'll send them to you if you think they will be useful.

I seem to have multiple problems here.  Where do I start my troubleshooting?
