Paper QSL handling
Hi all,
Dave, I frequently get paper cards with multiple QSO's listed, with PSE QSL on. I know how to handle paper cards with a single QSO, (Ctrl-Alt-B), which is fine, but for multiple contacts all needing confirmation, I currently have to select each QSO (often in a very long list of contacts with the call) and do the Ctrl-Alt-B for each contact listed on the card. Is there a simple way to select a number of records and then apply the same Ctrl-Alt-B to them all, in one step? Best 73 Phil GU0SUP |

You could click the You could click the "Clear Select" button, set each QSO's Select item to 'Y', then filter the Log Page Display to contain all QSOs whose select item is 'Y', and then run a script to perform the CTRL-ALT-B actions en masse, but setting each QSO's Select item to 'Y' would be no faster than invoking CTRL-ALT-B. 73, Dave, AA6YQ |

OK, thanks for the response. Maybe something to consider for the future as an update? I've recently received a batch of cards from the bureau, and it seems I have a large number of cards with multiple contacts listed, and I was just wondering of there was an easier way to handed the cards. There must also be other situations where one wishes to select multiple contacts, and perform an action on the selected contacts? 73, and thanks for the answer Phil GU0SUP -----Original Message-----

I've always thought there must be a better way when I get a bureau packet and come across these. Every time I realize that it would take me longer to filter the log and and do en mass updating than it does to turn off require edit and just do the ctrl-alt-b my way through them. 73, Mike ND9G Hi Dave, |

geesh, I guess I've been doing it wrong all these years.....when I answer a buro envelope, I type the callsign in the filter box at the bottom, click the call button, then I go up with the mouse and hit CFM.....this sets the sent box to R, and the rcvd box to Y.....the cursor then automagically returns to the callsign field, where I just type the next callsign in, but guess what, the mouse cursor is still over the CFM button, so just click, and move on.....anyway, works well for me....

When dealing with an incoming QSL card, most of the time is taken by typing in the card's callsign and, if there's more than one logged QSO with that callsign, clicking on the Log Page Display entry for the QSO associated with that QSL card. Whether clicking the CFM button is sufficient (as it is for Jamie WW3S) or you want to indicate that the return QSL card should be sent via the QSL bureau by instead invoking the CTRL-ALT-B keyboard shortcut, one gesture completes the desired action. + If anyone can suggest extensions to DXKeeper that would enable a more efficient way to process a stack of incoming QSL cards than what is described in <https://www.dxlabsuite.com/dxlabwiki/ProcessingIncomingQSLs> + I am "all ears". 73, Dave, AA6YQ |
