Spectrum Waterfall

Do I understand correctly that the spectrum waterfall only works with Icom.    If that is the case, why cannot DXL access the sound card in the computer that is using LPPAN as an IF source from a K3.

Because the Icom waterfall is not "raw" soundcard audio. It is
"packaged" within the CI-V (CAT) command set and Commander is
using the Icom protocol. Dave has indicated that he will eventually
support alternatives for non-Icom (and non-Flex) owners but there is
a significant development cost in doing so.

+ Commander can provides a Spectrum-Waterfall window when controlling an Icom 7300, 7610, 7851, and 9700:

+ When the IC-705 instruction manual becomes available in English, I expect that extending Commander to support that radio will include Spectrum-Waterfall support.

+ The Icom transceivers listed above can all be directed to provide spectrum data via the Icom CI-V bus. The differences among these transceivers are minor, and easily parametized so that the same code works with all of them.

+ Commander can also display active callsigns on a Flex SmartSDR panadaptor, enabled by a programmatic interface that accepts these callsigns.

+ LPPAN is one of many panadaptors, each different. My plan is to provide interoperation with a panadaptor that works with a low-cost SDR like the SDRPlay RSP family.

WIN4K3, Nap3 and a few others use the 192 khz Q/I audio for their spectrum

Anyway, just wondering.   I was going to experiment with it and it wasn't there for the K3

+ K3: not supported by the radio

+ K4: yes
