Window Size
HI,
I am a new user. I am running DXLab on an HP Laptop. I can not resize the window to fit on my screen. I have no idea what is below the list of logged QSOs. When I try to reduce the size of the window from the top, it only performs the same function as LOWERING the window. I am only able to change the width of the window, not the height. There is NO option (in the upper left) to go full screen. Only minimize and close ( - & x)'
So my question is: What Up wit dis?

Hi Steve... With your cursor at the top part of the window, try raising the entire window till you can see the bottom of it. Then move the cursor down to the bottom and hover over the bottom of the window frame. The cursor should change to an "up/down" cursor; then you can move the bottom of the window down to see what's below the list of logged QSOs. At least that works for me. By the way, GREAT group here, all questions are welcome.

+ As Steve KH6CT suggested, you can drag DXKeeper's Main window's title bar upwards to move the entire window upwards, exposing the windows bottom border which you can then adjust as he suggests.
+ You can also reduce the height of DXKeeper Main window by positioning the mouse cursor over the top border at the point where it becomes a double-headed arrow. Click-drag downwards, and the Main window's height with be reduced.
So my question is: What Up wit dis?
+ The only DXLab application whose Main window can be maximized is Pathfinder.
+ Maximizing a window means moving around of all its components to make the best use of the available space. While straightforward to implement, the benefit it would deliver compared to all of the other tasks on the enhancement lists is relatively low. See the "Enhancement Logs" column in
<https://www.dxlabsuite.com/download.htm#Availability%20announcements>
+ After I complete all of the more beneficial enhancements, I'll turn to tasks like "provide unlimited window resizability".

At the top right of the DXKeeper window there are several check boxes (Auxiliary, QSL, Online QSL, ,,,). If these are all checked, there is no way that the DXKeeper window will fit vertically on a typical laptop screen. Try unchecking them all to get a window that will fit on the screen, then try checking individual ones to see which combination works best for you. There is an option in the Config window (General tab) to display these panels in two columns (requires the window to be wider), which may allow you to have more of the panels visible at the same time.
In some of these panels, there may only be one or two items you want to see. Instead of displaying the entire panel, you can configure the log display to show columns for those one or two items, and then you won't need to have the panel visible to see the items you are interested in.

I have already tried that. I cannot get the bottom of the window to appear, I can get the window to the top but only see the slider below the log list. When I try to resize the window from the top (I'm 63. I've been around computers a while. According to his book, I got in to computers 6 months before Bill Gates did) it LOOKS like I am resizing but it is only pushing the entire window down - despite having the up\down arrow.
UPDATE:
Before I tried to send this post, I read the one below by VE3KI. Eureka!! I unchecked the "auxiliary" and the screen got shorter. That will suffice until you are able to look at in somewhere down the program.
Thanks all and 73
