Guess I'll ease off on "DXLab for quantum computers"...

Hi, Dave - I worked at Gartner for 13+ years, in the information security practice. Gartner has about 30 different hype cycles, they were always a lot of fun.

I once put together a Ham Radio hype cycle - there were about a half dozen hams at Gartner .Back then SDRs were emerging technology, now I'd probably put Open Source Transceivers (like the TenTec Rebel) there. I think we had electronic QSLing there, too - that would now be coming out of the Trough of Disillusionment and SDRs further up the Slope of Enlightenment!

But just consider, Dave, DXLab for quantum computers would allow you to be at both ends of the QSO at once.

>>>We probably have some mutual acquaintances, then. I worked with several Gartner analysts when I was with Rational Software and when I was setting up Eclipse.org
