I was kind of expecting this answer. Still I do not understand, why the most common European way of writing the date is idiosyncratic ...

When I do large numbers of cards, I use BV7 from DF3CB, where I can put the date in any format. But for quick answering/printing a small number of cards, I was hoping to use DXKeeper with an easy to understand date format.

+ Yours is the first request for an additional date format since the DD-MMM-YY options were made available in DXKeeper 8.7.0 - 11 years ago. One request per decade is idiosyncratic.

+ The YYYY-MM-DD format is a worldwide (ISO) standard, and is unambiguous as to meaning.

+ The DD-MMM-YY formats were easy to add because they require less horizontal space than the YYYY-MM-DD format . Adding a DD-MMM-YYYY format would break both the QSL card and QSL label layouts because it contains more characters than the YYYY-MM-DD format. Whichever columns I choose to shrink to compensate would make some set of users unhappy.

+ Because I could spend all of my available time creating new QSL card and QSL label layouts, I have intentionally kept DXKeeper's generated QSL cards and labels utilitarian, pointing users who want more flexibility to DXKeeper's ability to "drive" more flexible QSL card generators like BV7 with an ADIF or tab-delimited file exported from the QSL Queue.

I just would like to ask whether it is possible to change the QSL Date Format to be printed on cards to dd-mmm-yyyy (4 digit year), of course English month abbreviation.
So far this is only possible when you use the ISO 8601 format yyyy-mm-dd.

+ That would unleash a never-ending cascade of requests for idiosyncratic changes to QSL cards and labels. If you want more flexibility in generating QSL cards or labels than what DXKeeper provides, see

"QSLing via ADIF or tab-delimited files: Generating QSL cards via an external application or service by way of the QSL Queue" in

Do you think my log export from DX4Win was done properly?  All those countries were tagged in DX4WIN as checked by ARRL, so not sure why its not showing for Honor Roll credit
+ Just because a QSO was tagged in DX4WIN as "checked by the ARRL" doesn't mean that the ADIF file exported by DX4WIN includes that information. Please open the ADIF file that you exported from DX4WIN and imported into DXKeeper; does the field CREDIT_GRANTED appear in this file?

Yes The ARRL Verified Honor Roll Countries in the DXCC Progress Report.  this section in the report has no data, all zeros.

In DX4WIN, when i get a confirmation for a QSO (Card or LoTW), i set the flag to "C" as in Confirmed.  If its a confirmation for a new DXCC country, band or mode, after i submit to the ARRL for credit and it gets approved, i set the corresponding flag for that award (DXCC) to C as in Checked which means it has been checked and accepted by the ARRL.

Based on what i think you are explaining, DXLab should have used the DXCC "C" flag in the imported log for the DXCC Honor roll?  It seems that it did use it for the DXCC credit but not the Honor roll credit?

I have imported the log, and setup the myQTH , and so far everything checks out as far as total contries worked, bands modes, etc .

Also, got the commander interfaced to microham devices, controlling the radios, etc so that piece is all setup and working properly

I believe i'm now officially and successfully migrated, and slowly getting more familiar with the logging suite as well as the other suites

One discrepancy i noticed when i ran the DXCC progress report.  The totals are accurate, but the Honor roll list is not, for example the DXCC count is accurate at 336 but my honor roll total is 0.  Is that something that i should have flagged before importing the log, or something i need to configure in DXKeper afterwards

+ Are you referring to the "ARRL-verified Honor Roll Countries" section of the DXCC progress report? That section only counts QSOs that are marked as having been granted DXCC Award Credit. For a QSO confirmed via QSL card, that means its "QSL Rcvd" item is set to 'V'; for a QSO confirmed via LoTW, that means its "LoTW QSL Rcvd" item is set to 'V'.

+ If your QSOs have been granted DXCC Award credit but this wasn't indicated in the ADIF file you imported from DX4WIN, DXKeeper can update your logged QSOs to reflect DXCC Credits granted by downloading your DXCC Award Credit (HTML),  and "scraping" it to extract the credits. This isn't a fully automatic process because of the data entry errors and shortcuts taken when ARRL staff enter data from submitted QSL cards. See "Managing DXCC Credits" in

https://www.dxlabsuite.com/dxlabwiki/ManageDXCCCredits

+ In order to direct Windows to uninstall the applications you installed in E:\DXLab, you will need to have the media loaded in E: that was present when you did the installation. Otherwise, Windows won't find the installation manifest files, and won't be able to uninstall those apps.

+ You should also direct Windows to uninstall Commander and the Launcher, as you have incorrect directed the Laucher to install them in a single folder. The default installation folder for DXLab is

C:\DXLab

+ The Launcher installs itself in the folder

C:\DXLab\Launcher

+ and installed (for example) DXKeeper in the folder

C:\DXLab\DXKeeper

+ Each application's files are installed in a separate folder.

+ It's fine to override the default by specifying an installation folder like

C:\Ham Programs\DXLab

+ Windows is extremely unforgiving about maintaining the integrity of installed applications; one false move, and your only recourse is to re-install WIndows or run a "Registry Cleaner" application.

Yes, in the control panel and uninstall, all the remaining programs were listed. The path for the launcher is “C:\HAM SOFTWARE\DXLabLauncher.exe”
For Those that do not work, the path is shown as E:\DXLab. etc. My “E” drive is. CD/DVD drive and it is empty. I have a “F” drive (external) with a bunch of files etc.
I did a search on “This PC” for Pathfinder.exe but found nothing.
Hope the extra info helps.

+ It sounds like you directed the Launcher to install some of your DXLab apps in E:\DXLab, which is no longer present. So Windows and the Launcher both think you have these apps installed, but the files do not exist..

I was also having an issue with very slow startup of DXLab. It would take 5 to 15 minutes to come up. I have traced it to a nVidia "helper" app. On my taskbar there is a nVidia app called "GEFORCE EXPERIENCE." Starting it, and clicking on the gear (settings) look for IN-GAME OVERLAY. Turning that feature off lets my DXLab load briskly. Turning IN-GAME OVERLAY back on causes the very very slow load of DXLab again. It is quite repeatable. It took a long time to find this.

I spoke too soon. with menu item in Auto, if I select 'CW' mode in Commander and with the rig set to CW LSB, the Commander Mode stays on 'CW; for less than a second before it reverts to CW-R. As before, if I change the rig mode to CW USB, Commander shows 'CW-R' Otherwise Commander reflects all other modes correctly.
