I have the same setup, except for RTS in Commander/Port. Mine is set to Off and works OK.

There was no check in the box labeled suppress CAT and when I press TX it transmits and when I press RX it goes back to receive

Everything working in digital modes now except PTT
Ok I have updated the IC7300 firmware and the com ports are now stable and can be left for at least a week without turning themselves off. The last problem I have (and I created it) is when I transmit

Thanks for the quick reply Dave. There is no delay when using the TX/RX buttons in the Config dialog of Commander with Split enabled.

I have no doubt. For my needs, I do a lot of different types of filtering at the cluster level and I hadn't run into the need to send ascii codes...yet. Thanks for the history.

In the "Initial Cluster command", < and > are used to set of a specific ASCII character. For example, <13><10> sends CRLF (Return, Enter).
