Thanks Dave.
I don't know how I missed that.  Duhh!

Should have been set to RTTY.

I pasted the message but see that it did not show up.
The message says:
CI-V Commander
the mode WBFM in memory 10 is not supported by the currently-selected radio.
I have no idea what that means or where to look.

+ I means that Commander's memory #10 specifies a mode of wide-band FM, which your transceiver does not support. To prevent the message, select memory #10 and change its mode to one that your transceiver supports, like CW or SSB. See

Only a guess but it may mean Wide Band FM is not supported in memory 10. I am sure you will get a more accurate reply.

Re: Repeating entry for Note or Comment field when using Capture ?

That was an enhancement that I suggested to Dave several years ago and he did additional as an enhancement. If something is entered in the user defined fields, one of which you can label “comments”, they will appear next time you work that station. I use that feature for comments, FOC or CW Ops number of a station, etc.

That direction/instruction certainly helps me to unpeel more about DXLabs and all the modules.

+ The best way to learn about DXLab is to slowly scan the reference documentation for each application, one at a time. While scanning, ignore all the details, but jot down the names of any functions to which you'd like to later return. After completing this "top-level review", prioritize the list functions you've assembled, and return to the reference documentation and the task-oriented documentation as you implement each one.

https://www.dxlabsuite.com/dxlabwiki/GettingStarted

+ Don't expect to ingest all of this information over a weekend, or to instantly become as facile with DXLab as you were with its predecessor. There's a lot of functionality, and some of it is unique with respect to amateur radio software. Take your time, and enjoy the ride up the learning curve.

These are my Versions:
Cmd - 15.2.0
DxK - 16.3.2
DxV - 4.7.9
Laun - 2.1.4
Path - 5.2.6
Prop - 2.0.0
Spot - 8.9.2
Warb - 9.3.7

When I first installed DXLabs a couple of years ago, I know I had the 7300 set up. According to the Launcher, I am up to date.

????

+ If 15.2.0 appears in the title bar of Commander's Main window but the IC-7300 is not present in Commander's Radio Model selector, then the Radios.txt file in your Commander folder is obsolete, either because the Launcher's update mechanism was prevented from replacing it with the current version, or because the file was subsequently replaced with the obsolete version. To correct this,

1. terminate Commander

2. download the current radios.txt file from

https://www.dxlabsuite.com/commander/Radios.txt

and place it in your Commander folder, replacing the existing file with the same name

3. start Commander

As I still have a long way to go in grasping/understanding all the nuances of DXLab here is one that may have an easy explanation that I've not yet found.
So here goes:

DXK Capture panel open for logging a call.
I want to enter some repeating verbiage in either the Note or Comment field before I save the Q.

I know I can easily keep retyping the same information, but is it possible to have the information saved or ready for use on a repeating basis?

Events where I do such include: 13 Colonies, Route 66, SST, etc., etc..

I've created my own habit of entering "13 Colonies - 2021" in the Note or Comment field. Similar for "Route 66 - 2021", "SST", etc., etc..

Suggestions?

+ The Comment item is intended to record information specific to its QSO, so no "default Comment" capability is provided. There are three ways you could repeatedly record identical information in a sequence of QSOs made during the same "on-air activity":

1. the "Contest ID" item (specify default value on the Configuration window's Contest tab)

2. the "QSL Msg" item (specify default value on the Configuration window's Defaults tab)

3. a user-defined item (specify default value on the Configuration window's "User Items" tab)

+ My advice is to configure a user-defined item named "on-air activity":

https://www.dxlabsuite.com/dxkeeper/Help/Configuration.htm#User%20Items%20tab

+ Set the item's "Style" to List, and create a text file containing the names of the on-air activities in which you participate. I recommend against including the year in the activity name, e.g. define

"13 Colonies"

+ rather than

"13 Colonies 2021".

+ Should you wish to filter the Log Page Display to contain only QSOs made during the 2021 "13 Colonies" activity, you'd use the SQL expression

(APP_DXKEEPER_USER_DEFINED_0 = '13 Colonies') and (YEAR(QSO_BEGIN)=2021)

Auto start is not selected so all I’m looking for is for Launcher to open fully.
While you've got Task Manager open, take a look at the Disk % in use (on the Processes tab). If you're like all the other Windows machines I've used, you'll probably see it pegged at 100% for several minutes after startup. Launcher is probably contending with all the other 'launch-on-startup' processes for disk access. I've pretty much gotten used to letting the computer sit for a few minutes after startup to let all of that settle out. If I'm in a hurry, I'll launch Task Manager and watch for Disk % to settle down to something more normal.

Re: Old Use - New Install

I had to re-install Windows 10 on my computer (PLEASE don't ask me why - Its done). I downloaded DXLauncher and proceeded to reinstall DXLab Suite per instructions for my IC-7300.

So, using DXLaubcher, I installed all modules. I checked with DXView for new versions and this is what I got:

+ DXView doesn't indicate whether new versions of applications are available; it only does that for databases.

+ This group does not convey attachments, so no one can see what you posted.

So far, so good. However when I launch DXCommander, it tells me this:

+ This group does not convey attachments, so no one can see what you posted.

So I go to the General tab and I get this list for radios while looking for the IC-7300:

As you can see, the 7300 isn't even listed.

What am I doing wrong?

+ If you look at the title bar of Commander's Main window, you'll likely see that you are running a long-obsolete version of Commander. The current public version of Commander is 15.2.0. If that's not the version that you are running, terminate Commander, and direct the Launcher to upgrade Commander - and any other DXLab applications that haven't been upgraded to their current versions.

+ If this post doesn't get you going, please let me know.

DXKeeper uses the application specific key APP_DXKeeper_DOK for German DOK.
There is actually a standardized key for this, DARC_DOK. It would be nice if DXKeeper recognized and used this also.

+ Thanks, Björn! I forgot about the addition to DARC_DOK to ADIF. The next version of DXKeeper exports DARC_DOK to ADIF and TDF files, and imports DARC_DOK in addition to APP_DXKeeper_DOK.
