Joe,
Thanks, yes currently it is called Serbia, but back in the 1980s it was Yugolslavia.

I want to log it under that country so I have an accurate DXCC count for all countires, active and deleted.

Good Evening...
In the Spot Collector Window, WWV SFI, A, & K are updated only once a day, at 0005 UTC. Is it possible to get this update more frequently??? If I miss a couple of days, I do not have the latest propagation at my disposal, until 8:05 P.M. EST.

Yes, Dave the box is green in the "Spot Database Display"

So, there is a problem and I don't need to do the screen shot thing???

If on the Awards tab of DXKeeper's Configuration window you have the
Marathon panel's "Realtime Award Progress" box checked, then cause of the
incorrect behavior is understood (and corrected) so there's no need to send
me a screen shot. Since this isn't a show-stopper defect (it's been present
for many months without anyone noticing) I'm going to cheat and add one
requested new capability before making a public release that includes the
correction.

I agree it's just a special form of uneeded. However all mine are verified
via LoTW. If the text is green I know I really don't need it.
If it's black text with the yellow backgound I know to check to see if I
have it verified by card or LoTW. It by card the then I'll go ahead and work
the new spot that uses LoTW.

Would be nice if we could set different colors for confirmed by card, LoTW
or both.

Foreground color in the Log Page Display is used to identify potential
dupes.

You can setup buttons in the Filter panel at the bottom of the Main
window's "Log QSOs" panel that filter the Log Page Display for "confirmed
via card only", "confirmed via LotW only", and "confirmed via both Card and
LotW"; let me know if you need help doing this.

Hi Mike,

Dave has identified an issue with the "Verified" colouring, when
Realtime Award Tracking for Marathon is enabled. Assuming you have
that enabled, it's now a "known issue", so there shouldn't be any need
for a screenshot.

Now that you mention it, I don't think I've seen the "Verified"
colo[u]r in SpotCollector in a while, so it may be broken (or I may be
misunderstanding its meaning). I'm looking at several spots for which
I have the entity verified on both the band and the mode, but they're
displayed in the "unneeded" colour. "Award Tracking" shows "verified"
for the top three rows in the DXCC column (and the fourth row is
blank).

You're right, Iain, it's broken if you have Realtime Award Tracking for
Marathon enabled. I've corrected this in the next version of SpotCollector.

Re: Verified status from LOTW

iain macdonnell - N6ML

Hi Jesper,

Unfortunately LotW does not provide an interface for programs to
download award credit data, so the next best option is for software to
pretend to be a browser, and parse the HTML that makes up the award
credit report that you can read through the LotW web interface. This
is a bit risky, as any change that the ARRL make to the LotW web
interface could break such an interface. That said, VE3NEA has a
solution for this - http://www.dxatlas.com/Misc/DxCred.zip - I've
never used it myself, but I believe it can extract your DXCC credits
from LotW and inject them into your DXKeeper database. I think Dave
may be working on a "native" solution for this in DXKeeper too...

I notice the response from LOTW states that only QSL status is reported,

I am not really an award hunter but I would still like to be able to

I have just added two filters to quickly filter for:

1. Only NA origin spots (NAE='Y' or NAM='Y' or NAW='Y')

2. Spots from all origins (NAE='Y' or NAM='Y' or NAW='Y' or EU='Y' or
SA='Y'
or AS='Y' or AF='Y' or OC='Y' or UN='Y')

Now I'd like to have this for Only NA origin spots that are needed (DX
entity band, mode, CQ zone band or mode unworked, including the Marathon)

The SQL expression for that is
((NAE='Y' or NAM='Y' or NAW='Y')) and <needfilter>

The goal is to be able to single-click to change the display from 'all
spots' to 'NA spots' to 'NA-spotted Needed.'

Also, the existing band and mode filters are kept with the 'Need' and the
'X' button. This makes lots of sense. How do I add those parameters to my
created filters so mine will also know the desired bands and modes? Could I
use

(NAE='Y' or NAM='Y' or NAW='Y') AND (Band='160' or Band='80' ...Band='6')
AND (Mode='SSB' or Mode='CW...Mode='RTTY') or is it more complex than that?

It's simpler than that:
((NAE='Y' or NAM='Y' or NAW='Y')) and <needfilter> and <bandfilter> and
<modefilter>

For more useful substitution commands, see
<http://www.dxlabsuite.com/spotcollector/Help/SQL.htm>

Doing so will hard-wire the bands and modes in the SQL, as opposed to using
whatever values might be checked in the Band and Mode check boxes that pop
up when those buttons are clicked. The best way would be to refer to those
pop-up box values but the other way would work.

That's what exactly <bandfilter> and <modefilter> do.

On the Configuration window's "Spot Database Display", what color is the
box to the immediate right of the "Font Colors" panel's "Verified DX"
button?

If this box is green, then please
1. locate a Spot Database Entry that you think should be rendered in green
font but is instead rendered in black font

2. Right-click this entry, and select the "Display Award Tracking" menu item
to display DXKeeper's "Award Tracking" window

3. Make a screen shot of the "Award Tracking" window, as described in

Thanks for presenting it, Jim!
I was asked a question by a prospective new user that I couldn't answer. He
has only paper logs and QSL cards that he doesn't want to enter into
DXKeeper. Is there any way to load his DXCC records from LOTW into DXKeeper
to enable SpotCollector to flag new ones?

If by "DXCC records from LotW" you mean "DXCC credits from the DXCC desk
via the LotW web page", the answer is "not yet".

I've implemented this, but the initial implementation is too hard to use.
I'm in the process of re-implementing it in a manner that's easier to use,
but it hadn't occurred to me that ops who'd never used a logging application
before would be using this new mechanism to populate their log. This
realization will further raise the bar on useability...
