Interfacing with Spot Collector & Commander?
Bert Hyman
I've been using VE3NEA's "Band Master", a GUI which has a display much like the slide-rule view of "Commander." Using COM, Band Master sends messages when I tune across a spot or when I click on a spot. I've written software to integrate Band Master with my own log to display worked/confirmation status for spots as I encounter them, and I'd like to do the same with DXLab.
I know there's a lot of DDE traffic among the various components of DXLab, but before I start digging, does Commander generate similar messages so that I can detect when a spot has been tuned across or selected? [Is DDE the only way the various pieces of DXLab talk to one another?]

Since eQSL.cc does not presently provide a means of verifying that a QSO has been successfully uploaded, you must inspect the upload report and manually reset the eQSL Sent, eQSL Date Sent, and eQSL Rcvd fields for each QSO that was rejected. Except that QSO records have their eQSL_sent field set to 'R' after export, so that statement is wrong because you need to change every successfully uploaded QSO so that eQSL_sent is 'Y'. Otherwise I believe that a subsequent batch queue operation for eQSL will attempt to resend all the QSOs via the QSL queue. 73 Bill.

With Dave's help, I've managed to put off buying another PC for another wee while. What you did is inevitable. In the world of the PC, you will always get a better deal next week, and an even better one the week after that. The trick is, once you've bought it, stop looking (Hi). Good luck, Bill GM0VIT

It's a relatively new PC, just over three years old: Dell Vostro 200, 2MB RAM and 150GB hard drive. Your suggestion to use "Advanced SystemCare" has saved the day. I knew that I had accumulated a lot of rubbish in the start up menu but when I look at it I was clueless as to what was needed and what to throw away. Your software told me told me just that. In my mind, I have already shelled out for a new PC. I can now redirect that (now extra) cash in the direction of Elecraft or some other worthy destination (hi). Thanks again. Bill

Re: Hand Written QSL Cards
Roy G. Jackson <n9rg@...>
Do the cards actually have to be hand-written, or can you print out labels and attach to cards? Just a thought. The other thing you could do is print 'labels' on plain paper, then as you processed the QSL's, mark them off one by one. I'm sure Dave or someone else will come up with something much more elegant! 73 es gl.

Hand Written QSL Cards
g4wjs
I have a log that contains contacts that require hand written QSL cards. I would like to use the QSL queue facility of DxK to manage this but don't see an obvious workflow. I guess I could generate a PDF file of auto pronted cards then copy the details to the actual cards -- is there a way of skipping the print file and just processing the queue one by one manually?
I see that I can jump back to the QSO record by Ctrl+Double-click from the QSL queue, but I don't see a way of doing the back filling of the QSL sent card. I propose to just edit each QSO as I go and clear the QSL queue at the end, but this seems error prone if I don't write all the cards in one pass. Bill.
