Re: RAT for DXCC and TOP progress

Scott, my explanation below is incorrect: DXKeeper does compute and display DXCC award credits granted to QSOs in the “user-specified digital mode family”.

The discrepancy between "Verified Including deleted" and "Verified Excluding deleted" is the result of a defect in DXKeeper -- an oversight when I added support for the “user-specified digital mode family”; thanks for reporting it! I have corrected this defect in the next version of DXKeeper, and sent this version your way. 73, Dave, AA6YQ I understand. I also understand the display of specific digital mode families is merely to "to support the user's personal objectives". I was more questioning the discrepancy between Verified Including deleted and Verified Excluding deleted. But as you said, it does not matter for Awards. 73, --scott ------ Scott Stembaugh - N9LJX radio.n9ljx@gmail.com http://sites.google.com/site/radion9ljx

Thanks for the response Dave. Any chance this could be considered in a future release of Commander? The reason I want to do this is to use SDR Console (could be any SDR app) along with my Icom 9700 primarily to follow the Rx frequency. It would be tied into the Rx antenna in order to get a decent panadapter/waterfall display. The 9700 is pretty poor in that area and the "scope" function of SatPC32 isn't much better due to the "audio" nature of the input rather than an IF input that would provide much more detail. + I am travelling without access to a radio; otherwise, I'd have extended Commander last night. 73, Dave, AA6YQ

Re: Two instances of DXK
Jacob Derenne
I ran 2 instances of DX Suite on 2 different hard drives using WIN 10 with 2 callsigns 1 was a 32 bit of WIN 10 1 was a 64 bit of WIN 10
But in essence it was 2 different OP systems incorporated on 1 computer, but it did serve the purpose for the short term situation. That was my solution to the issues I had

Re: Two instances of DXK

You don't need to do it that way. Using work spaces is recommended. This allows configuring 1 workspace for each callsign... Then swap between workspaces to change callsigns.

Re: VP8-O on DX Keeper vs VP8-F on SC
Dave AA6YQ
Why does Spot Collector say VP8PJ is VP8-F?
But DX Keeper gets it right and says VP8-O. VP8-F vs VP8-O? Why the difference? Do I have something wrong? + You should define an override for VP8PJ that specifies its entity as VP8-O: <https://www.dxlabsuite.com/dxlabwiki/CreateEntityOverride> + Then all of your DXLab applications will know that VP8PJ is in VP8-O. + In the absence of an override, DXKeeper could learn of VP8PJ's entity by way of a previously-logged QSO, or by way of a callbook lookup. 73, Dave, AA6YQ

I'm trying to get Commander to send frequency data to SDR Console via Commanders Secondary CAT port when it is connected to SatPC32. I don't seem to be able to do this. If I switch Commander to my HF rig (MultiRadio) it will happily send the HF frequency to SDR Console so the function works; just not with SatPC32. Anyone know how to make this work or is it that the SatPC32 DDE connection doesn't tie into the Secondary CAT port? + When Commander interoperates with SATPC32, SATPC32 controls your transceiver, and Commander tracks SATPC32's frequencies and current satellite information via DDE. The Secondary CAT port is not updated with the uplink or downlink frequency. 73, Dave, AA6YQ

Re: DXK log and LotW US Call Signs
Dave AA6YQ
+ DXKeeper comments below
Frequently when I run Sync LotW QSO's in DXK it will flag conflicts between what I have logged and what LotW says for US call sign CQ and ITU zones. Almost all of the time when this happens the LotW is correct. I usually take the time to fix the DXK log info. I looked in the help files to try to find where DXK gets the CQ and ITU zones when logging when I don't enter them myself, but no joy. Can someone explain this to me and is there a way to reduce these occurrences? + Possible sources: 1. an Override (if you've specified one) 2. previously-logged QSOs with the callsign (if you've configured DXKeeper to display previous QSOs with the callsign) 3. a Callbook (if you configured DXKeeper to query a callbook and populate newly logged QSOs with information from the callbook) 4. the USAP database (if you've installed it) 5. the DXCC database (if unambiguous) + Note that ops sometimes operate from locations from other than their "home QTH". 73, Dave, AA6YQ
