defect in DXKeeper when importing an ADIF file exported by Logger32

Dave AA6YQ

Instead of employing the standard ADIF LAT and LON fields to export a QSO's latitude and longitude using ADIF's location format,
e.g.

LAT:11>N038 17.000 <LON:11>E020 33.000

<http://www.adif.org.uk/309/ADIF_309.htm#Location>

Logger32 employs proprietary APP_LOGGER32_LAT and APP_LOGGER32_LNG fields to export a QSO's latitude and longitude in decimal
format, e.g.

<APP_LOGGER32_LAT:5>38.28 <APP_LOGGER32_LNG:6>-20.55

When importing an ADIF file, DXKeeper automatically interprets APP_LOGGER32_LAT and APP_LOGGER32_LNG, but its interpretation in the
current public release (15.2.4) is erroneous. I have corrected this defect in the next version of DXKeeper.

Hi Dave,

Yeah that was it. It’s showing up on the other monitor where I can’t see it. Thanks for the response and have a great weekend!

Happy Thanksgiving Holiday Dave!

Quick Question: in the SpotCollector documentation section "SpotDataBaseNeedDetermination", the second bullet says, "let the mouse cursor hover briefly over the entry's callsign; an explanatory popup will appear indicating why the Entry's DX station is needed". For some reason, when I hover over an entry's callsign no popup appears. I am seeing popups for other items in the SpotCollector window. Is there a setting I'm missing?

+ Do you have more than one monitor? If so, the explanatory popup will appear on your primary monitor.

+ This is a defect in commercial control used to implement SpotCollector's Spot Database Display and DXKeeper's Log Page Display. Given that this is the only known defect in a mechanism that is central to the reliable operation of both SpotCollector and DXKeeper, I have elected to not upgrade either application to use the current version of this commercial control -- which I assume corrects the defect.

Yup, that’s it!  It’s showing up on the laptop‘s screen under my WSJT-X window.  Might need to rethink how I have these windows arranged. Thanks for the reply Dave!

When I let my cursor hover over the callsign of a spotted station in SC I do see a window that indicated if it is a needed entity, band, mode or for a specific award etc...

However, the window is a long window with just a single line of text... and in my dual monitor setup most of the window is off to one side so I can easily miss it.

I second that about St. Judes!

I was amazed yesterday they did the history of the hospital and were talking to marlo about it and her dad. And how they still charge NOTHING for not only their services but food, lodging, transportation every cost a family may have in treating their child is 100% free! Incredible. and what made it even more incredible is that they can do that! She said their average daily costs are 1 point 8 million dollars a DAY!

Incredible!

I am guessing my friend is confusing DXL with HRD. Who is right?

Rick -

I have never heard of ANYONE paying for the DXLab suite of AWESOME software. I know that thousands of hams are very grateful to Dave for his kindness and generosity.

I have been a user for a fair number of years... and it sure blows away the other 3 or 4 logging programs I paid for over the past 30 years or so.

I'm having issues with Prop View. There was some sort of system upset for Prop View. I reset most of the switches.

+ The recommended action when this happens is to direct the DXLab Launcher to restore PropView's settings from the Workspace you
directed the Launcher to create when all of your DXLab applications were configured to your satisfaction. This action is described
in the "Loading the Windows Registry with One Selected DXLab Application's Settings from a Workspace" section of

<https://www.dxlabsuite.com/dxlabwiki/CreateUpdateWorkspace>

But I am left with a message "No Availability Specified" and I can't seem to find how to fix this so Propagation data is not coming
through. Any ideas?

+ In the Conditions panel on PropView's Main window's Parameters tab, set the Avail to the desired availability. This is described
in step 6.d of

+ Consult the description of "Avail %" in the "Conditions panel" section of <
https://www.dxlabsuite.com/propview/Help/Operation.htm> to determine the appropriate value.

Script is FFMA.txt in /DXKeeper/Scripts ...

It has been included with DXKeeper for several (five?)
years.

FFMA.txt filters the log for girds required for the FFMA
award on six meters, runs the VUCC Progress report and
displays the report. A copy of the Progress report is
saved in /DXKeeper/Reports ...

There's a script that will generate a report. Not sure if it's
documented anywhere, but it should be in DXKeeper's "scripts"
directory - just run it to get the report.
