Dave,

I’m having issues with Prop View.  There was some sort of system upset for Prop View.  I reset most of the switches.  But I am left with a message “No Availability Specified” and I can’t seem to find how to fix this so Propagation data is not coming through.  Any ideas?

Script is FFMA.txt in /DXKeeper/Scripts ...

It has been included with DXKeeper for several (five?)
years.

FFMA.txt filters the log for girds required for the FFMA
award on six meters, runs the VUCC Progress report and
displays the report. A copy of the Progress report is
saved in /DXKeeper/Reports ...

There's a script that will generate a report. Not sure if it's
documented anywhere, but it should be in DXKeeper's "scripts"
directory - just run it to get the report.

Using IC-7300, Windows 10.

I have lost the Diddle when using FSK RTTY. Use to work perfectly.

In the MTTY setup under the TX tab diddle LTR is checked.

What else can I check on that might fix the problem?

+ As a first step, I suggest that you direct the Launcher to restore WinWarbler's settings from the Workspace that you directed the Launcher to create when everything was working correctly.

another option is to press the "Monitor" button on the WSJT-X main window before minimizing, that will cease active CAT control until "Monitor" is enabled again by pressing the button. The same procedure is recommended if you briefly wish to QSY to a spot in another mode, e.g. phone or CW, using SpotCollector. Depending on the options chosen in the WSJT-X "Settings->General" panel you can control how WSJT-X recovers when "Monitor" is re-enabled, i.e. it can return to the last monitored frequency automatically if you wish.

I instrumented Commander to display the directives being received from WSJT-X 2.1.2. Whether the WSJT-X Monitor button is active (green) or inactive (gray), WSJT-X continuously directs Commander to report its frequency, mode, and split status. If the radio's Split is enabled, WSJT-X will send Commander "change frequency" directives, whether Monitor is disabled or enabled.

Until Bill G4WJS and I sort out why this is happening, I suggest that WSJT-X be terminated when you are operating in any mode that doesn't employ WSJT-X.

Re: Default Mode Change When Going from HF to Satellite and Back to HF

Dave AA6YQ

+ AA6YQ comments below

Between satellite passes I work HF, mostly FT8 but some CW and SSB as well. One of the things I forget is that when I switch to SatPC32 as the radio the code sets the Propagation Mode to SAT, When I go back to HF if I don't remember to reset the Propagation mode to F2 as the default I then have HF Q's with SAT and no name for the satellite. The Add Requested for LoTW reminds of that and I fix it so it isn't a big deal.

I am just wondering if there is a setting I have missed that would change the default propagation mode back to F2 when I go back to HF.

+ There is no such setting.

Paul,

as far as I know, address labels are *NEVER* printed for bureau cards;
and yes, if you uncheck one or more of the the "via xxxxx" checkboxes,
only according labels will be printed. You can also check or uncheck
single QSOs if you wish.

Print only QSL label, not address label if Buro

Paul W1IP

I think I might have this right, but want to confirm. Usually I have a mix of QSO's when I "add requested". Some are getting mailed direct, and some are going to a BURO (ARRL, Omiss, Century Club, etc).  I've just been printing all the labels and not using the buro ones, a waste.  So, if when logging the call, I set "Sent Via" to "B", then when I print address labels I should uncheck "Include QSL's to be sent via the Bureau"?  Is this the optimal way to do it?

I.E. I always want a QSL label for every contact, but only address labels for those sent direct.

Re: Avery 8161 Labels

But what are the exact parameters to print QSL labels using a Inkjet printer using 8161 Labels.
My settings are:

Row 1 offset 0.5
Row height 1.0
Column 1 offset 0.25
Column 2 offset 4.375
Label width 3.875

While I use a laser printer, these settings should work on any printer
as long as the printer does not have an excessively large non-printable
area (printer imposed margins).

Re: Observation about SatPC32 Interface

Dave AA6YQ

# AA6YQ comments below

I am not 100% certain of this but it appears that when setting up the SatPC32 interface, data about frequency is not actually sent to Commander until a satellite is in view. When no satellite is in range, SatPC32 will still adjust the VFO of the selected satellite. I thought something was wrong until a satellite came into view, then the data appeared in Commander. It also appears that using the Preview mode to advance time artificially does not send the data so one cannot test it out that way. If the data is not sent, obviously Commander cannot do anything about that. Now that the satellite is not in view, the Commander VFO still shows the last frequency. I wonder if this should go to zero or otherwise indicate --No Data--

SatPC32 not sending the data is an assumption. I checked the errorlog in Commander but it was not receiving data. I did not check with Wireshark.

When the satellite was in view and tracking, all worked well (and it is quite useful as I used it in Capture too).

# Yes, that's SatPC32's default mode of operation: it only conveys information to Commander when the selected satellite is above the horizon. You can change this to "always conveys information to Commander" with these steps:

1. In the ? menu, place your mouse over the "Auxilliary Files" entry; in the menu that appears to the right, select DivOptions.SQF

2. The file DivOptions.SQF should appear in your default text file editor. Change the second line of this file from

- (2)

to

+ (2)

3. Save the change you made to DivOptions.SQF

One other observation about the documentation...the Multi window shows ic9700.txt in the user controls and ic9700.txt in the Selection by band drop-downs. I do not have a ic9700.txt file. The drop-down in the election by band shows the two radios choices (SatPC32 and IC9700). That was a bit confusing. If one does not need the user-defined control to make it work, then I would suggest that be removed from the User-Defined control in the example and the Selection by Band be 9700 (the name of the radio from the Control frame).

# Thanks! I made the following changes to the screen shot in

<https://www.dxlabsuite.com/dxlabwiki/SatelliteTracking>

1. In the "Selection by band" panel, changed the erroneous "IC9700.txt" shown in the 2m and 70cm selectors to "IC-9700"

2. removed the red highlighting around "IC9700.txt" in the "User-defined Control Sets" panel, since it is not required for interoperation with SatPC32
