Hi Mack,

Can you add a short blurb as to how you add DXLabs apps to firewall exception rules. And, also, how did you disable Logitech apps?

Re: Sorting help?

In Advanced Sorts and Filters:
Use the UTC Filter to sort the log for the date and time desired,
Then, still in Adv Sorts ... , enter band="6" into one of the SQL Query filters,
Then click sort at the end of that SQL filter.

How do I use this to sort the page?

I recently started seeing this behavior when working a station from SC in WW.

I see a cw spot for a station from a country that I already have verified ( font color set to black) but I want to work it anyway so I double mouse click on it SC passes the info to WW and Commander QSY's the rig.
I listen for the station, copy his call sign and call him He answers my call so I click Begin in WW We complete the QSO and I click Log in WW and DXkeeper is updated.
This is where the unexpected happens. After logging the QSO all the existing spot in SC for CW, on that band, and that DXCC, fonts change color to unworked B or M (font is set to green). The Needed column in SC stays blank.

+ The next time this happens, please do the following:

1. terminate SpotCollector

2. place a copy of the Spots.mdb file from SpotCollector's Databases folder into a zip archive

3. restart SpotCollector

4. attach the zip archive to an email message that describes the callsign, band, mode, date, and time of the station whose Spot Database Entry was colored incorrectly after logging a QSO with it

5. send the email message to me via

It doesn't happen all of the time and when new cw spots come into SC afterwards they're font colors are all normal.

I've been using DXlabs for over a year now and never have seen this until recently. I can't correlate it to any changes in software or the operating system on the PC.  I haven't tried to duplicate it in any other mode.

I looked but couldn't find anything in the help files or the wiki that refers.

It's not a big deal but seems weird to me.

Yes.

+ A logged QSO whose "QSL Rcvd" item is set to 'V' has been granted DXCC award credit for a QSL card confirmation. See

Ok. It must be the cards I requested using Clublog then.

Yes. It said no discrepancies were found.

+ Click the Filter button to the right of the SQL expression you entered.

+ The operation you're employing is Filtering, not Sorting. Sorting means placing Log Page Display items in a particular order, e.g. "increasing order of QSO Begin" or "decreasing order of operator name".

Ok. The card column has over 100 and I know I haven't had that many cards checked. Try to use LoTW as much as possible. I guess the better question should have been what logic is used to count the cards that are considered confirmed and verified? Maybe the cards I got from DXpeditions are being included in the confirmed number?

I now use PstRotatorAz and its SteppIR controller. It's extremely

Hi all but Dave especially,

with DXview i can control my rotator using my home made interface and
programmend an arduino board (home made software also) to emulate YAESU
control box.

As it has the funtion to be asked for the real current position, is possible
to have dxview send the opportune command and display the result? (not the
requested positionas now)

+ DXView doesn't display the current position of any rotator; it assumes
+ that your rotator controller does that. If you need this
capability, DXView can interoperate with "N1MM Rotor", which displays your
rotator's current position.

Another possible integration of DXView is the ability to send additional,
non standard, command to the rotator controller using "user defined string"
in variuos situation as: program start, program shutdown, before and after
requesting a new position or pressing a button as in others program in the
suite: ex: spotcollector has buttons for user pre-defined query.

+ It's likely that only a handful of DXLab users would benefit from the
ability to define and send custom rotator commands.

Try this in the filter text box at the bottom of the log page display and pressing Ctrl and S

Band='6M' AND QSO_Begin>#6/16/2019# AND QSO_Begin<#6/17/2019#

The two dates are there in case you want to limit to a specific date(s) that is prior to today. If you are only looking for "today", then

Band='6M' AND QSO_Begin>#6/16/2019#

I've finally reassembled my station after a major shack remodel. My wife is thrilled . ;>)

I've made a few FT8 contacts, and I've noticed that when I spot them via DXKeeper, they appear in Spot Collector as JT65 spots.

I've checked the DXK Databases folder and find that I'm using the DefaultModes.txt file, and that FT8 is there. I have no Modes.txt
file.

So, I conclude I have some user parameter incorrectly set.

What might I look next?

+ When an incoming spot doesn't specify a mode in its "spot notes", SpotCollector looks up the frequency in your sub-band definition
file to see in what sub-band the spot lies, and what you've designated as the predominant mode in that sub-band.

<https://www.dxlabsuite.com/spotcollector/Help/ConfigurationGeneral.htm#Sub-band%20Definition%20panel>

+ Your SpotCollector folder includes a sub-band definition file named

BandModes 2019-05-02.txt

+ that represents my attempt to capture current sub-band usage. You can configure SpotCollector to use it "as is", modify it as you
wish, or build your own sub-band definition file from scratch.

Interesting …

If I spot the station with the DXK drop-down of ‘ … on 14076.1 in FT8’, the spot shows up as FT8.

But if I spot the station with the DXK drop-down of ‘ … on 14076.1 in FT8 with notes’, the spot shows up as JT65.

Now I’m really curious!

2. I disabled all Logitech apps.

3. In the motherboard bios I set the performance to maximum.
