First of all, nothing wrong with PropView, this is simply a user preference sugestion/feedback/request (if feasible).

I really like the way propagation information is displayed in VOAProp by the late G4ILO, or HamCap by VE3NEA, and some of the new online propagation tools. Would it be possible to offer this 'view' as an option in PropView?

Certainly, but the question is whether it's good use of finite developer cycles given the many competing enhancements requests (all of which are available via the "Enhancement Logs" column of the table in
<http://www.dxlabsuite.com/download.htm#AvailableReleases>

In what ways are the "views" you suggest above better than the currently-provided view?

Another question. I hope it's ok to send a new message, instead of combining multiple questions in one message.

All questions are welcome here, in whatever format or stle you chose to ask them.
I moved to DXKeeper from Logger32. In those days I kind of kept paper QSL and eQSL send and receive status. I'm only interested in LOTW confirmations these days. How can I clean up the old send/receive status imported from Logger32?

ADIF defines three fields to convey QSL status:
QSL_RCVD - for QSL cards

LOTW_QSL_RCVD - for LoTW confirmations

LOTW_eQSL_RCVD - for eQSL confirmations

Does the ADIF file you exported from Logger32 and imported into DXKeeper contain information in any of these fields?

New member, and fairly new user of DXLab suite.

Welcome to DXLab, Vince!
I have a problem with DXCC tracking. I downloaded the file from LOTW, and imported into DXKeeper.

DXLab provides automation that eliminates the need to manually download files from LoTW. Hopefully, you didn't import whatever you downloaded into your log file, as doing so would create duplicate QSOs.
When I look at the totals, I mostly pay attention to 80 and 40M these days, I'm 2 credits short on 80 and 5 on 40M. The same LOTW file uploaded to ClubLog shows the correct totals.

I then tried downloading just the DXCC confirmations from LOTW, and importing that to DXKeeper. This time, every single record shows as illegal, during the importing.

What am I doing wrong?

As a first step, I suggest that you review these articles:
1. http://www.dxlabsuite.com/dxlabwiki/GettingStarted>

2. <http://www.dxlabsuite.com/dxlabwiki/QSLing>

3. <http://www.dxlabsuite.com/dxlabwiki/QSLingLotW>

4. <http://www.dxlabsuite.com/dxlabwiki/DXCCAwardProgressStates>

Then let's discuss what it is you seek to accomplish.

Good! You won't ever have to do that again. From now on, just occasionally click the "Sync LoTW QSOs" and "Sync LoTW QSLs" buttons.

I have some previously downloaded LOTW confirmation files that I would like to import into DXKeeper. Thanks very much Dave. I sure couldn't have come up with that on my own.

Reading the help file, I see the statement: "When you click one of the Filter panel's 8 SQL filter buttons, the Spot Database is filtered using the SQL expression associated with the clicked button, completely ignoring the Need, Call, DXCC, Freq, Band, Mode, Continent, Origin, LotW, eQSL, and Hidden filters."

Is there any way to add my Origin filter selections (NA-E, NA-M, NA-W) to the SQL filter?

Yes. If X is the first expression, use
(X) and <ORIGINFILTER>

Subject: [dxlab] Two issues I've never seen before

Recently I upgraded several DX Lab Suite programs and brought all of the databases up-to-date. Today I noticed two anomalies. One is the spotted DX remain shown on SC even after I worked the DX.

For which awards was the spotted DX "needed" before you worked it?
I did a 'recompute' within SC and the spot disappeared.

If this happens again, please do the following before you invoke the "recompute" function:
1. terminate SpotCollector

2. place the file Spots.mdb from SpotCollector's Databases folder into a zip archive

3. attach the zip archive to an email message that describes the spot of the station worked (call, band, mode, start time)

4. send the email message to me via aa6yq (at) ambersoft.com

I have automatic 'recompute' checked within SC. In the past I recall the link between SC and DXK is instantaneous. Once you worked a spotted DX that you need it's removed from SC's display.

Correct.
The second anomaly is that I worked a couple stations that are on LoTW but their calls were not highlighted in yellow in DXK. My database is dated Oct 8 2017. I looked at database and both callsigns were in the LoTW database. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Did you restart SpotCollector after directing DXView to upgrade the LoTW Database?
If so, then please do the following
1. on the Configuration window's General tab, check the "Log debugging info" box

2. generate a local spot of one of those stations

3. if the resulting Spot Database Entry is not "colored" to indicate LoTW participation, then

3a. on the Configuration window's General tab, uncheck the "Log debugging info" box

3b. attach the errorlog.txt file from your SpotCollector folder to an email message, and send it to me via

aa6yq (at) ambersoft.com

There is an option in DXKeeper to make a backup of the log file each time DXKeeper closes and upon request.  The location is specified in DXKeeper | Config | Log tab | Backup folder

There are pro and cons [reliability issues, single failure location, etc.] about keeping all the backups in one location v.s. on each computer.  I keep my backs on a separate RAID drive from the DXKeeper normal location on the executables disk .  If you use this backup function, where is a question you should ask yourself.

Thank all of you for the comments.  I do have an NAS but had not considered using that. I will try placing a single copy of my log on Dropbox, which would be accessible to my laptop if I travel, too.  I will only be using DXLabs on one computer at a time.  I would keep the program files updated separately on each computer. Now I wonder if there are other files that should also be placed on Dropbox, besides the log.  In considering moving DXLabs from one computer to another, there is a horde of files mentioned.

When setting up a second computer, you should follow the instructions in

Besides your log file, only a few of the files in question (e.g. SpotCollector's sub-band definition file) can be positioned anywhere in your file system, so they can't be placed on DropBox.
