Ok, Dave & Neil, thank you very much for the good advice.
Maybe an old dog can learn a few new tricks after all.
So at this point, I think I'm going to do a couple of things.
1. Check the priveleges on my primary (and only) account on my PC and check that it had Admin priveleges.
2. Uninstall DXLAB.
+ I strongly suggest that you proceed one application at a time. Uninstall Commander, confirm that it's been uninstalled, delete C:\DXLab\Commander, and then direct the Launcher to install Commander. If that succeeds, then repeat the same procedure with each of your other DXLab applications.
