if you are auto starting Commander using Launcher then this
behaviour could also be due to the Windows updates resetting you
serial port assignments, i.e. the COM port Commander talks to you rig
on may now not be the one configured in Commander.
It can also be explained by the Windows Update replacing the Icom OEM
serial driver with a not quite compatible version from Microsoft.
