- prevents an errorlog.txt entry from being generated by SpotDatabaseModule.ShowConfig

- forces the operator callsign to be upper case (tnx to Neil W3ZQI)

- informs the user if the Sunrise or Sunset times specified in Band Filter window are invalid (tnx to Iain N6ML)

- prevents compaction from interfering with Spot Database updates (tnx to Björn SM7IUN)

- prevents compaction from interfering with Spot Database propagation forecast updates (tnx to Björn SM7IUN)

- prevents premature invocation of Spot Database filtering

- can directly interoperate with WSJT-X (tnx to Dave W6DE, Björn SM7IUNm and Neil W3ZQI)

- adds ActualSNR, ActualSNRMin, and ActualSNRMax fields to the Spot database and populates them with SNR data reported by WSJT-X

- provides a <WSJTXMODE> substitution command for use in SQL filters (tnx to Dave W6DE)

- when connected to WSJT-X and a Spot Database Entry whose mode is selected in WSJT-X is double-clicked with the CTRL or ALT keys
depressed, directs DXView to rotate to the short-path or long-path heading, respectively

- recognizes the phrase HEARD IN when it appears in other than the first two words of spot notes

- correctly determines the location of callsigns of the form WZ7I-4-# (tnx to Wes WZ7I)

- if DXView is running and SpotCollector's Band Filter window's "Ignore Start & End times" option is enabled, double-clicking the
Band Filter's "Sunrise UTC" or "Sunset UTC" updates them with the current sunrise or sunset time from DXView, respectively (tnx to

- adds the WSJTXInteraction.htm documentation file

- updates the ConfigurationAudio.htm, ConfigurationGeneral.htm, ConfigurationPacket.htm, ConfigurationSources.htm,
ConfigurationSpotDatabaseDisplay.htm, index.htm, SourceConnection.htm, and SpotDatabase.htm documentation files


1. When connected to WSJT-X, SpotCollector 8.2.8

- creates and update Spot Database Entries using information decoded by WSJT-X

- optionally directs DXKeeper, DXView, and Pathfinder to lookup the DX Call specified in WSJT-X

- direct WSJT-X to set the text color of callsigns displayed in its Band Activity panel to indicate award need (for DXCC, IOTA,
Leaderboard, Marathon, VUCC, WAS, WAZ, WPX), and the background color of those callsigns to indicate participation in eQSL and/or

- convey QSOs logged by WSJT-X to DXKeeper, with the option to upload each QSO to Club Log, eQSL, and/or LoTW
