You mentioned that WinWarbler retains the AFC setting between sessions. 

Is this a case of the MMTTY engine’s settings conflicting with WW’s?

Mike, the "Standard RTTY" profile you're using enables AFC.

As Iain N6ML suggests, edit the USERPARA.INI in your WinWarbler folder, locate the section for the "Standard RTTY" profile (likely the first section), change the entry

AFC=1

to

AFC=0

Then save your changes, and restart WinWarbler. Any joy?

FWIW, I recently had a problem with AFC frequently being reenabled too. This was a new issue for me at the time (some weeks ago), but I put it down to (probably) something that I needed to setup after a new install. I edited USERPARA.INI and set AFC=0 in a few places, and haven't had the problem since. Not sure if I should have had to do that.... ?
