APRS Messenger "ToCall" (APSK63)

Chris,

I just noticed that APRS Messenger uses a ToCall of APSK63. You should drop a note to Bob Bruninga to get this registered as your program. Right now all APS prefixed ToCalls are registered to APRS+SA, etc. You can see the "official" ToCall list at http://www.aprs.org/aprs11/tocalls.txt

I like the choice, but it does kind of eliminate the ability to code a version into the application identifier... Maybe you could use AP63nn?

Hi Lynn,

It was Bob who suggested APSK63 in a recent email. I'll email him to let him know that it clashes with APRS+SA.

Thanks,

Chris, G4HYG

I wouldn't say it "clashes", but he at least needs to list it on the page as being for APRS Messenger. Otherwise, people that see the ToCall and try to track it down will come to the wrong conclusion. Like I said, I like the APSK63, it says a lot about what it actually IS. Just get him to add it to the list for other's to look up if necessary.
