[Much improved version coming soon ?
Regarding a low cost radio around $100 I'm testing a prototype of a SDR/DSP receiver based on our Sentinel 2 SDR receiver ($242) at the moment. It's running at the workshop as a receive igate, G4HYG-3

I would say that the unique feature would be the simplicity of use. As it's a DSP based receiver you don't need to run a SDR program for it to work. For monitoring the 30m HF APRS frequency all you wo

Just a receiver at the moment based on our SDR-4/ Sentinel 2 SDR receivers. A transceiver may be a future option but would need a lot more work. Regards, Chris

It's possible to go too low in price by picking inferior components. Unfortunately the QCX set is let down by the choice of a Si5351A as the synthesiser. It does generate a lot of phase noise compared

Replies to a few points raised so far: The increase in audio level comes as a result of adding the PTT function for UZ7HO. It keys the PTT without any modulation from APRS Messenger for a short period
