Sticky Brake Light Switch 20 messages
On my 1947 sedan the brake light switch activated by the brake pedal is sticky, so I am sometimes left with the brake light on when the engine is off. Can I service it? (clean, lubricate...etc.)

CAR: 47 Sedan. Back before I knew we could order new gas tanks, we had our gas tank cleaned and recoated. I had a strong suspicion that they didn't remove the drain plug, but I forgot to check on that

In a haul of parts. I got what looks like a decent bare tin block. I filled it up with a 10:1 solution of water to molasses(works just like evaporust, but much cheaper-and slower). So far not one drip

Did the factory receive the wheels painted black from the supplier & then they painted only the face (red or white), like Studebaker did? Or did they paint the whole wheel?
