Bob Hickman of AZ Has Passed

I was just notified that long time Crosley enthusiast Bob Hickman died on July 30th. Many will remember his extensive model collection that included many hand crafted Crosley models.

Here is his obituary.

Robert (Bob) Warren Hickman, Jr.
Phoenix, AZ - Robert (Bob) Warren Hickman, Jr., 74, finished his life's journey in Phoenix, Arizona on July 30, 2018. Born in Paoli, Indiana, at the age of 2, his parents, Robert Warren, Sr. and Mary Etta (McCabe) Hickman, moved the family to Muncie. As an adult, he moved around the country. He lived in Pennsylvania and Missouri before settling in Phoenix.
Bob spent his life legally blind until becoming totally blind five years ago. He was an antique car enthusiast, traveling and accumulating friends across the United States, in pursuit of his passion.
He is survived by his siblings, Bonnie (Ronald) Stouder, Muncie, William Hickman, Indianapolis, and Ruth Ann Berkey, Muncie. He is survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. The family would like to thank his Phoenix family, Monica Cooper, John and Faith Arvigu, and Mark and Carey-Linda Connolly, for caring and helping Bob over the years.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Diana, his parents, and his sisters, Emma (Bob) Craig, and Alice (Jimmy) Hinderer.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, August 19, 2018 at the Church of God - Full Gospel, 4013 West 30th Street, Muncie, from 1-3pm with Pastor Dwayne Murray officiating. The weekly service will follow at 3pm and all are invited to attend. Bob also enjoyed attending the Fellowship Baptist Church when visiting Muncie.
Memorial contributions can be made in Bob's memory to his church, Northwest Baptist Church, 6701 North 43rd Avenue, Phoenix, AZ 85019.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Elm Ridge Funeral Home.

I was lucky enough to have visited Bob in Phoenix a few years ago, a really dedicated "car guy". He sent a few models to the Crosley nationals a while back, we have published some pictures of his cars, full size and models in the Quarterly.
