Modern paint codes for stock Crosley colors?
Dean Seavers <voxnut@...>
First off thanks again to the folks who gave me the tip on the fender rattle- I had to drill out the old screws and put new ones in, but now I can enjoy driving the wagon. One of the upcoming jobs I need to do is respray the roof and floors. The '51 is Mariner Blue, and I was wondering if anyone, or the club has had stock paint colors matched and formulated in current PPG, DuPont, Ditzler, or Varathane colors. I usually spray either PPG Omni, or Dupont Nason. Thanks, Dean

No idea. It's a medium blue, look at the pictures.

It's a 1950 super wagon.

Crosley's list of 50 colors has a Mariners Blue listed but it looks darker on the paint chips. They did use some 49 colors in 50 and it looks close to the 49 color Deep Sky Blue but it was a metallic color.

Good enough match for an inexpensive rattle can paint job. That is what I have done twice on my 49 wagon and when I get closer to going back on the road that is what I plan to do again. Jim...

It's not the same color but my 49 is ocean foam green. I have not yet sprayed the paint but the cap color and name alone has me sold.

I saw something called 'medium blue' on a Crosley paint chip sheet on eBay recently for 1952 that looks a lot like it. Attached. Wade
