Tower Shaft upper bolt removal tool
The upper tower shaft bolt should just have a 7/16" head (maybe 1/2", I'm not close to one at present), no special tool or socket required. Butch Virus-free. www.avast.com

Modified Hot Shot came home, with tons of spares
Congratulations on your new purchase. Before having much concern about the engine running rough, run it thru several heat & cool cycles, things have a tendency of loosening up and reseating themselves

CC Clutch
Mike, It's virtually impossible to install the disc backwards, the hub will hit the flywheel. Most likely, the new disc lining, is slightly thicker tan it should be. Very common occurrence. Simple fix

remove bell housing from crosley engine
Howdy Jim, Depending upon which crankcase/bellhousing you have, it may or may not be removable with the crankshaft still installed. The allen head "bolt" that you found, is NOT a bolt, but in fact is

David, I don't know if it would be better to remove and reinstall or not. If it's going to crack, my guess is that it would be immediate at installation. It might be best, to remove & inspect, then ha

Dave & Gang, From page 9 in the service manual (at least the edition that I'm using), 5/8" X 11 or 18, 880 - 1300 inch pounds or 73 - 110 foot pounds. I always "sneak up on it", initially taking it up
