I know it’s much farther away then you’d like ( California) but we have a very clean no rust ever super sport/hot shot frame. It has been blasted and put in flat black primer. If your interested contact my father Gary 714-425-4208.

from Mike Eliasohn - little car books

Michael Eliasohn <mikethebike2325@...>

For some unknown reason, I’ve long been interested in mini and micro cars, though I’ve never owned one. (I don’t think my 2017 Chevrolet Sonic hatchback qualifies.)

Having spent most of my adult life living in apartments and never having owned a garage, owning a “hobby car” wasn’t practical.

In 2011, as a volunteer with the now defunct Krasl Art Center Concours car show here in St. Joseph, Mich., I helped recruit cars for that year’s featured class of micro and mini cars. We had some interesting cars, but, alas, no Crosleys.

But even in apartments, there was space for books and I have quite a collection of car books, many of them devoted to micro, mini and 3-wheel cars. Among them is Crosley & Crosley Specials, which is a compilation of articles.

But at age 73, it’s time to start thinning out my collection. So if interested, please email me at mikethebike2325@... and I’ll email you the list of books I want to sell. Im more interested in finding a good home for them than making a good profit.

With winter having arrived and if it’s too cold to work on the Crosley in the garage, it’s a good time to read a car book where it’s warm.

Front Suspension Swaps?

Mike <seller432@...>

Looking to see what there is for front suspension swaps i got a 50 CD and will be getting a GM s10 2.2 4cyl with manual trans. I want to upgrade the front suspension and  obviously going to need better brakes.  I want to try and keep the same ride height as original maybe a little higher.

Look at the wheels.  This could be an early production Crofton.

Searching for owner of a 1951 Supersports and searching history of my Supersport

Steve Olinger

Hi,
I'm searching for the owner of the first Supersports in  picture at the 2006 Crosley Nationals as I would like to ask the owner a couple questions. The second photo is my 1951 Supersports which I am still searching any info of its past. It has dual exhaust (homemade manifold-back) was last titled in clayton, Ind in 1965 and was supposedly in Vermont at some time. Any info at all appreciated.

That first one may have been one of Deane Shermans. He has passed on. Jim Bollman or Fred Syrsal could probably confirm that though.
