Motorola 309 Radio

Anyone have a universal Motorola 309 radio in a 1950? The radio was produced in 1949-50. The dash was altered. Looks like it might work, took it out while I work on the wiring.

Engine pics

Does anyone have some nice pictures of their painted up engine and surrounding area. I am in the process of restoring my 49 Sedan, and was looking for different color ideas for different parts. I'm trying to avoid just painting everything black. I am not necessarily trying for the exact factory paint job.

Thanks,
Ron

Ron, if you go on the club web page there are lots of pics from the shows through the years.  Also there are nice guides to each body style that also have under hood shots

Found insertable part for a missing rear lens on amazon that are retroreflective red led lights. It replaces the bulb, contacts and spring inside the stock shell.

No idea. It's a medium blue, look at the pictures.

Bad with 6v, I just tested, it's dim and does not get brighter on brake/turn signal.
Tested ok with 12v.
I'm going over to the 12v side

Crosley's list of 50 colors has a Mariners Blue listed but it  looks darker on the paint chips. They did use some 49 colors in 50 and it looks close to the 49 color Deep Sky Blue but it was a metallic color.

Good enough match for an inexpensive rattle can paint job. That is what I have done twice on my 49 wagon and when I get closer to going back on the road that is what I plan to do again.

It's not the same color but my 49 is ocean foam green. I have not yet sprayed the paint but the cap color and name alone has me sold.

I saw something called 'medium blue' on a Crosley paint chip sheet on eBay recently for 1952 that looks a lot like it. Attached.
