Re: Database

I guess I should have given more instructions. I have turned off the ability of members to create new databases (didn't know it was on). When you go into the Database section click on the link "What's in Your Garage" and then click on "add record". Just fill in the blanks and click the save record button.

silky, I removed your empty form.
croseys_ss - I'll move your entries into the database.

My gawd, nothing is easy is it! I thought everyone here (at the old
site) disappeared into the ether. Well, I too, have to thank Jim for
making sure we are still here (we are here aren't we?).
I have a question for "Old Time H-Mod-ers", who out there remembers
when SCCA changed their rules from 750cc to 850cc in H-Mod. I thought
it was 63 or 64.TIA,Don Tiana

Datsun Five speed

"rwright24127" <R.Wright@...>

I've read and heard of putting the datsun 5 speed behind the Crosley
engine and hook to the Crosley rear. I think the drive shaft would
have to be changed to an open one. Can someone tell what tranny is
being used and how to adapt it to the engine. Thanks Ron W

Are the windshield wiper motors for VCs different from CC-CDs? I
noticed that the chrome spacer is different, and I wondered if there
are any other differences?

Looks like most of the hits for "Overland Amusement" are going to be
for their roller coasters -- longer-lasting items than fire truck
rides. My second exposure to Crosleys was in a hook & ladder truck
at Idora Park in Youngstown OH when I was about 8. When I was in
high school that truck turned up on the used car lot of the local
Dodge dealer that I walked by almost every day. It was (to my car-
crazed adolescent eyes) in great shape. I recall it had a
rectangular dashboard instrument cluster. I still wonder what became
of it.

If I understand your problem you were trying to switch back to getting individual eMails of the posted messages. I looked and you were set to once a day digest of the messages. This is set able by you, but I switched you back while I was looking. Hope this is what you wanted.

Re: What is a Crosmobile?

"Curt Schoellerman" <crosleys@...>

The Crosmobile was Crosley's export name. As far as I know, the cars are
identical except for the hubcaps, instrument gauge, radio, and front
emblem which read "Crosmobile" instead of "Crosley". Some were also
right-hand drive. I believe all models were used. I have a Super Sport,
and I know others have seen Station Wagons and Sedans. I don't know what
years they were exported, or what countries were targeted. Mine is a
'51.

Can anyone supply any more information? I would like to get copies of
any literature anyone might have.

Re: What is a Crosmobile?

"Jim_Bollman" <Jim@...>

The Crosmobile was the export version of the Crosley. Some say they used Crosmobile to avoid confussion with the English Crossley.

It was primarily a trim change with different name on the emblems, caps and instruments. Some right hand drive units were probably made for countries that drive on the wrong side.
