Truck For Sale

"nerner333" <briandavonne@...>

I have had my '48 pick-up on the road for about one year. I posted
photos. (I think I got them posted right.) The photos were taken last
year when I was getting it put back together. Runs great! I have been
driving it ever since. I have about 1,500 mile on the rebuilt engine
(by Ed Lemke).
Anyone interested?

Brian

Hi

Just received your e-mail. Your pictures did not come thru. Did you attach them to your

e-mail?

I was looking for a station wagon to use at my wife's print shop for delivery. She might

consider a pick-up.

Where are you located & what are you asking for your truck?

We are in Norwalk, OH. About 1/2 way between Cleveland & Toledo on Lake Erie.

Thanks

JIM

I have added a For Sale folder to in the Photo gallery. I have attachment capability turned off on Gang mail so people with dialup lines will not get unwanted downloads.

New "Groups"

"nerner333" <briandavonne@...>

I must admit, the new Yahoo! Groups system is a bit confusing to me.
Maybe it takes some time to adjust to it.
I repsonded to a message yesterday, but I don't see it listed.??
Anyway, the message was about my '48 pick up that I have decided to
sell. I have moved the photos from the "restoration" folder to
the "for sale" folder.
I am struggling with an asking price. I know that it is not
reasonable to ask for the amount that I have in it.
Anyone have suggestions or guidlines?

Thanks,
Brian

Hi Jim,
My 51 customized Crosley (started as a station wagon) is for sale. It looks
like a miniature El Caino with a bed cover not removable. The conversion is
very professional. It is turquoise in color and has 2 convertible tops one
black, one white. It has a rebuilt engine with less 300 miles on it. It has
chrome beauty rings and new tires. You can see a picture of it in the winter
1997 Quarterly on page 5 and on the front cover of the Fall 1998 issue (3rd
picture down on right side). I am asking $3500.00 for it. It is located in
Lake Cicott, IN about an hour and a half south of South Bend, IN.

What is an IcyBall worth and who would want it

Re: IcyBall

Jim Bollman <Jim@...>

So few Icyballs change hands that it is hard to establish a price. If you have the cabinet, burner, ice cube tray and equalizer pan it would increase the value. Then there is condition. Besides advertising here I have a private list of people interested in Icyballs that I send info to a few times a year, some of them are looking to buy.

Re: New "Groups" - Confused???

"Jim_Bollman" <Jim@...>

I believe I understand most of what is going on in Groups, or I'm
confused and just think I do. :-)

The big difference from Clubs is that you can receive and send message
to the Group via eMail instead of doing it on the board itself. You
can still post and read directly on the board. For those that are
members, you can configure your membership for how you want to read
the messages. (this sometimes doesn't work the first time)

Since eMail can be in the loop the order of the messages can be
different from what you expect. If eMail is in the loop messages may
get lost. If you post directly on the board it should be close to the
same as the Club approach.

YaHoo servers overload regularly and cause problems that can add to
the illusion of confusion.

Did Crosley sell trailers?

I have come across a really cute little trailer. It looks like it
would be Crosley size (or other small car). Did Crosley ever make or
sell trailers? Thanks, Hal

Okay I have joined the "NEW" group, and from what I can gather, yahoo
got cute and pulled the rug out from under the old club, question;
where did the old photo albums go?? are they gone, if so it will be a
long time before I place any more and I will have to dig the pictures
back out. on a happier note "Merlins" restoration is going very well,
Nara and I have been building the bare frame back up to a chassis
again, hope to see you at the nationals in July......

Tom, I downloaded most of the pictures just in case YaHell screwed up the conversion. I have held off uploading all of them (dial up line took about 4 hours to get them all down) in the hopes the old club site will be resurrected. On conversion group I am on, clubs that have been lost for over a month have been reported as saved. I also have a wife recovering from back surgery so I'm spending part of every night at the rehab center with her so with house work and real work I've been busy lately. Those that want to re-upload their pictures feel free otherwise I will slowly push them back up when time allows.

And as I have already mentioned in other messages, a large portion of the technical content from the old message board was also saved and reformatted into an easier to use form.

Welcome back Tom, we miss you on Thursday nights.
