Somewhere in the past, some DMV didn't know anything about Crosley vin sequences and issued an erroneous title. I have a fire truck that is titled as a 1949 but is a 48 CC body and vin. However it

Jeffrey, Thanks for the invite, but it has a long way to go yet. I didn't see Butch Williams in the directory, could you send me his contact info?

Re: Wanted Crosley horn button disc with original paint.
I am thinking your best bet might be one of the vendors will probably have one in original condition.

Wanted Crosley horn button disc with original paint.
Hi,
I am looking to buy a horn button/metal disc sytle that has original paint. Could also trade if you are going to restore one.
Thanks
Steve

Re: 1949-up sedan title needed
I have a clear Maryland title, for a 1952 Crosley, I bought a 1948 Crosley from a man that was on eBay, the id number is for a cc, where a 49 thru 52 is a CD, this probably might not matter to you

The outer "dual" wheel, is used only on the FOR. The inner wheel is standard Crosley. Between the wheels is a special wheel adapter, with male, lug bolt threads on one end and female, lug bolt

The outer wheel on a FOR is unique to the FOR. It is a much heavier, cast iron with a large offset.

More questions on Crosley wheels. Do the FORs use the same wheel as the other Crosley cars? Is there a longer lug nut for the rear dual wheels?
