Photos on Yahoo! Groups / Ebay
"nerner333" <briandavonne@...>
I am having difficulty uploading photos to Ebay. I have an option to
choose another URL to link the photos. My question: Is the "Photo" link on the Crosley_Gang group for just members, or can anyone view them? If you don't need to be a member, I would like to link my truck auction to a folder with my photos in it. Is this proper? Brian |

Thanks Larry. i will take a look at the coil although it is also new.
But you raise another question. The terminals on the new coil are not marked. I put it in with the same orientation as the old one when I replaced it. Thanks Skip |

Check the coil. Had same type problem, someone had reversed leads on
coil. Changed coil, & fixed. Though it was fuel too. Think internal heat caused breakdown. Vapor lock in a 47CC
"cosmicray48236" <sgreiner@...>
I am finally getting a chance to put some miles on the 47. I have
encountered the following problem. If the car is warmed up and run for a while and then parked for a while and then driven again the following happens. The car starts fine but has a total lack of power and will not accelerate. The engine seems to be starving for fuel. If you stop with the engine running the problem clears up after a few minutes and it then runs OK. The tank and fuel lines are new. The carb, filter and pump have been overhauled. When I got the car the fuel line was run over the top of the engine and attached with a bracket to front valve cover stud for support. I installed the new line in the same position. If the engine is not stopped the problem does not seem to occur. I believe that this is vapor lock but I have never encountered it before. I would appreciate any suggestions as to what this is and how to solve it. Thanks Skip |

hi jon, thanks phor noting lil phoot. i set the roundside body on the 83"
wb CJ-5 chassis and running gear. had to cut away the phire wall to accommodate the 6 cyl [3 cyls under the hood, 3 and carter under the dash], cut a little phrom wheel wells, cut a battery tray on passenger well [master cylinder occupies orig] dropped in a nash metropolitan radiator and built a box around the portion of the engine in the cab. now i just need some insulation between the accelerator and that exhaust manifold phor the summer months. jak phillips |

Re: Did Crosley sell trailers?
Jim Bollman <Jim@...>
I never saw an answer to this question so I guess I'll take a stab at it. There is currently a Crosley Trailer company.

Crosley Trailers, Inc. US Hwy. 301 S Starke, FL. 32091 (800) 940-8331 (904) 964-3842 I don't know if there is a family connection but no connection to the original company. I think the car company may have made small trailers during the war along with a lot of other things but I'm not sure why I'm remembering that. http://www.ggw.org/~cac/War_Years.html Jim... I have come across a really cute little trailer. It looks like it |

Another Yahoo trick
"bltlar" <bltlar@...>
FYI,
I found out about another Yahoo ploy to track our web habits and Yahoo has already placed a "web beacon" on our computer for those of us who are signed up with Yahoo. Yahoo is using the web beacon to track you around the net & see what you are doing. If you want to opt out of this new marketing ploy by Yahoo, click on the following link http://privacy.yahoo.com/privacy/us/pixels/details.html About halfway down the page, on the right side and in bold, you'll find "Outside the Yahoo! Network." There's a tiny little link that lets you opt-out of their electronic snooping. It says, "Please click here to opt-out." |

Convertible tops!
x779@...
Who has had good luck with gettng new CC convertible tops? The big
difference between CC and CD tops is, I believe, the CCs have only front snaps, and the CDs have only side snaps plus the improved front mounting piece. Incidentally, I have a "boot" for my '47 CC convertible. It snaps onto the body when the top is off, and runs across the rear right up to where the oak side railings begin. It's a nice finishing touch. Thought I'd pass that along to whomever wants to make one. Regards....
