Car Transport Companys?
Mike S
Does anyone have any personal experience with car transport services? I need to move a large car ('57 Nash) from Los Angeles, Ca to Illinois. I applied for a quote on a couple of internet sites and now my phone and my email box is full of messages from companies I've never heard of. I'd rather deal with a service that I can verify a track record.
thanks Mike S |

Thank you sir! That is all I wanted - just a starting point. Nowhere near enough details to put a real value on the car, I just need a good baseline to start with.

From the pictures on the site, it looks like a solid body that has had a fair amateur restoration. No pictures of interior but I see hints of it that do not appear original. Engine and running condition are unknown. I'd say probably 2,500 with what you know. If the interior is decent and it runs ok, you could double that for a driver. David,
CE, will be an engine number, for some stupid reason, a number of states used the engine number for title and registration purposes. No, automatic transmissions were never used in Crosleys, from the factory. Who knows what someone may have done in the mean time. Pricing, I will leave to others, as they're all over the place. Re: Clutch and pressure plate

6" possibly has a bit smoother engagement. The 6 1/2 has more holding power. Both of those claims are subject to conditions.

Yes, the flywheel/pressure plates, have different bolt patterns. Butch

Clutch and pressure plate
Good morning from California,
I see from Service Motors there is a 6 inch and a 61/2 inch clutch and pressure plate. Is there a difference in performance of the clutch? Are the bolt holes different ? What cars used 6 vs 61/2. I have a Faegol 44 I am installing in my hotshot. Just want to make sure I get the right clutch. |

Hello, I am in the process of putting together running display tin motor, Did some tin motors not have provisions for a fuel pump, mine is plated off, when you look inside it appears there is no access to the camshaft? So if this is true what is my best option, tank above for gravity feed or a 6 volt elec. pump. |
