Re: Engine Reinstall
Hope Dale's idea works. Was going to suggest what Butch said if you had the transmission out or off it’s mount.

Re: Engine Reinstall
Yes, yes & no.
Dale at Service Motors recommends to loosen transmission mount bolts to give a little wiggle room. Thanx, SkipD

Are you sure that the rear spring shackles haven't shifted/turned over, changing the position of the differential?

Re: Engine Reinstall
Are the two half of the bell housing tight together?
Is the transmission on its mount? Did you have it out after you pulled the engine?

Re: Authorized Crosley Dealer List Updated
Darn, I had a note from you telling me that before and I remembered fixing it, but I apparently made it NC instead of SC then forgot to move it to the NC page. I fixed it. It might take some refreshing of your browser cache for it to show up. Thanks for telling me again.

L.E. Hardee
Good work, but there is one correction. Auto Specialty Company, in Greenville NC is listed in the South Carolina listings instead of North Carolina. That one was owned by my uncle. He said he got a shipment of 6 Crosleys after WWII. They were probably early CC's. Anyway he said that he sold those six cars over and over as the owners kept bringing them back. He was always very soft hearted, a good mechanic and engine man but not much of a business man.

Authorized Crosley Dealer List Updated
Way past due, I have updated the Authorized Crosley Dealer List. I have added a couple of dozen dealers removed and fixed a few, and added 20 or so new dealer photos and ads. We have around 660 dealers on our list now.
Enjoy Jim...

Probably a late 1950 or an early 1951.

Thanks Dale
Kudos to Dale at Service Motors. I recently Purchased a spark plug wire set from him. Because I have a WICO Magneto, the #3 wire was too short. He made a longer plug wire and shipped it at no cost.

I have a completely refurbished 6" mechanical brake setup. New everything, shoes matched to the drums. I am installing a set of 9" hydraulics on my PU truck. Could you, or anyone else be interested in this setup ? ...........................Jim Liberty

Not sure what I'll do with it but may be interested in trading the hydraulic brake parts for some useable mechanical brake cables.

Hi Jim, feel free to add my phone number to my contact info on the Carolinas Region section: 919-801-2132. Also planning on having a Dinner Cruise on the Blue Ridge Parkway to The Bluffs restaurant on the night of Friday, June 9, with the show and organizational meeting Saturday, June 10th. More info will definitely be forthcoming. I'm going to call Kay at Millers to see if it's okay for folks to contact her to make reservations. Thanks again! Don
