'41 and '42 starter drives!
Well, my '42 Liberty Sedan starter drive gave up after sixty years.
The gear itself is fine, but the starter-drive clutch (in the wide area
behind the gear) is slipping.
The starter number is MZ

I guess the question is what wears out first, the car or the driver?
Let's see, 50,000 miles in 50 years. That means the most anyone could stand
over a long period of time is 1000 miles a year.

Maybe all Crosleys started out with 100,000 miles on the odometer
and miles were backed off down to those readings of when found
today, in which case they "all" have traveled in excess of 70k, 80k,
