Re: New Driver
It just takes some getting used to. I drive tractor trailers for a living, and double clutch every day, and it still takes time to figure out. I still don’t get it right every time. Seems to me that

New Driver
I am new to the cars, and just got my Hotshot on the road. Is it possible to master the gear box, or does everyone just grind gears like I do? Double clutching does no better.

Two Cylinder Throttle Problems
Not sure why you couldn’t just reply to my message and have it post on Crosley-Gang.
The PreWars used a DY-1A - smaller main jet than DY9 which was used on the PostWar Crosley’s. They look pretty

Re: Two Cylinder Throttle Problems
Since you didn't get any suggestions from pre-war owners, I'll give it a try just from just the carburetor side.
Did this just start happening or have you had the carb off and just putting things back

Two Cylinder Throttle Problems
Can anyone suggest what to check. The two-cylinder engine in my !939 Crosley runs wide open when the throttle is opened ever so slightly.
Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

Re: Carburetor
I brought my carb to the show in 2019, and exchanged it for a fully rebuilt one from Barry Seel. Catch him early, as they they sell fast.

Re: New Crosley of the Month
The change was made from high to low, however some high dome caps remained in inventory even after the end of production. I have seen factory pictures of even later VCs with high domes on them.

Re: New Crosley of the Month
The wagons on the top level all appear to have the high dome hubcaps. So much for my theory that the late Crosley’s used the low dome hubcaps.
