Re: Disc Brakes
Jim, I restored that Hotshot years ago. I had Butch of Service Motors drill a tiny bleed hole in all four brake hose THREADS, so that you could easily loosen the brake hose connection to the caliper

Disc Brakes
Hey guys, I have disc brakes on my '50 Hotshot. Can someone tell me how to bleed them. There appears to be a grease nipple (Smaller) on the inboard side of the caliper. It has no means for loosening

Re: Mechanical Brakes
If you're talking about the wedges you put in to balance the brakes, yes. The floating across bar moves as needed to equalize the braking pull, so as things stretch you don’t have to continuously

Re: 48 CC Pick Up with crappy brakes
You need to get the drums and shoes to a brake shop and have the drums turned and the shoes arc ground to match.

Yes, that is one of the best crankshafts to build a high performance Crosley engine with.
Butch
Is this a Steel Crankshaft? Is it usable for high rpm Crosley engine build?

Re: 1951 VC Super
That metal sill is 1 and 1/4 inch wide by 1/2 inch thick and 31 inches long. With 5 pan head inset bolts.

Re: 1951 VC Super
Dennis, it is a metal sill with inset screws. You could make them up out of stock aluminum bar stock from tractor supply.

Re: 1951 VC Super
Thanks! That is what I needed! Is that a piece of wood across the door sill? I would never have thought of that! Is it anything special? That will be an easier fix than I thought if indeed it is wood.

Sorry no extra parts. Try our vendor list. The top 3 on the list have a lot of parts that are not on their parts list.
