Wow, that seems like a great price, considering the Barry engine is worth a good chunk of that price. Too bad it's over 20 hours away from me. That, and I haven't finished my last Crosley project car.

Edited

I have inherited a 1948 Crosley sedan from my father in law and I would like to sell it . It is rust free, has a 5 year old driver quality paint job. The motor was worked over 7 years ago and runs very well, goes down the road ok.I installed a new battery, points, coil, etc. The brakes work and stops the car. Has some new chrome. Call for more info. Bob 608-445-7688

Access to good non-copyrighted video footage of Crosleys?

timtmaker

We're gearing up for the West Coast region's meet in Bakersfield next weekend and a local TV station is interested in doing a piece the night before to let people know about the show. They asked if I could send them any good video footage from one of the meets or other Crosley footage....

Wondering if anyone can direct me to good high-quality video footage of Crosleys that they would be allowed to use (non-copyrighted)?  Hoping there might be some good stuff on YouTube..

THANKS!

If you  are going to run two carbs, you do NOT want to run Carters.

Jim,

I made the manifold.  Buy a bunch of 90 and 45 degree mandrel bends, buy a four into one exhaust collector, cut, weld, ceramic coat.  The flange was made by eMachineshop.com.  I have made several headers like this one and they’re not too tough.

The attached picture shows the chassis of my current car.  The Braje manifold will fit, but there is not enough room for a 90 degree bend to get the exhaust out.  You can buy mandrel bends for a DIY project.

Could the rear body have been made out of the roof from a CC coupe?
The dashboard came from a CC or early CD model. The Cowl probably came from that also. The side body panels could have been cut from sheet metal.
