I changed the subject on your question since it was tacked on with Crosley of the Month, where it will be lost.

When you start a something new please start a new topic, there is a link at the bottom of each message to start a New Topic or you can just send a new eMail message to Crosley-Gang <Crosley-Gang@groups.io>.

Can anyone suggest what to check. The two-cylinder engine in my !939 Crosley runs wide open when the throttle is opened ever so slightly.
Any suggestions would be much appreciated.
Thank you.

We will have signs on the route from the hotels that you can follow to Bate’s Alley. It is about 5 miles from the hotels to Bate’s Alley and should take you less than 15 minutes to get there. You can also use Google Maps on your phone if you get lost. "Bate’s Alley Kalamazoo, MI" is a destination that is listed on Google Maps.

Canopies-Sun Tents – We have talked to the Gilmore about letting people put up a canopy or other sun protective tents on the Meet grounds. They will allow these structures so all as they are weighted down and secured. If the wind is too strong, we may ask you to take them down so that they do not blow into other people’s cars.

Mask or No Masks – Masks will NOT be required if you are outside. If you are vaccinated Masks are not required in the buildings. If you are NOT VACCINATED, masks will be required in the buildings.

Kalamazoo Symphony Performance – We mentioned that there will be a concert performed by the Kalamazoo Symphony on the grounds of the Gilmore following our banquet. The performance is featuring Branford Marsalis, Award Winning Saxophonist. This concert is not part of the World Meet. There is a separate charge of $35.00/person if you want to attend. Tickets are available on site the night of the concert.

I’m not sure I can tell what hubcaps are on those top wagons. I have never found any factory notes on when the low caps first appeared but I think we can all agree the high dome look nicer. The factory may have thought they looked better too and used them in publicity shots.

Thomas,
One thing to think about. Since the nationals are only a little over 3 weeks away, the big parts sellers are busy packing up for the show, and PROBABLY wouldn't ship any parts out until after the show anyway. If you are planning on going to the show, you could order a carb and have them bring it to the show for you. This way you have one for sure. A lot of good parts do get bought up quickly at the show.

Crosley National Pre-Registration

Jim Bollman

After seeing the Micro Car deadline for pre-registration I looked and the Crosley Nationals Pre-Registration deadline is coming up in a week. The pre-registration deadline is June 19th. It saves Jayne, our registration coordinator, a lot of time at the meet if you pre-register and it saves you $5. Wauseon, Ohio July 5 -10

Some of us will be there even earlier.

  3. After the photo, we will have someone there to direct you to the parking area. We are going to try and park cars by Make.
  4. After you have parked your car and got settled, please come to the Registration Tent to pick up your packet of information. We will have a card that identifies you and your car.
  5. We would like you to put it in the windshield or windscreen (if you have a British car).

Preview Event – For those who are coming to Bate’s Alley on Friday night for the Preview Event, the gates will open at 4:30 and close at 6:00. The event lasts until 8:00.
     1. There will be live music from 5:30 to 8:00. This should give you plenty of time to look at the cars, as well as, find a place to have dinner and a drink.
     2. We will have GREEN signs on the route from the hotels that you can follow to Bate’s Alley. It is about 5 miles from the hotels to Bate’s Alley and should take you less than 15 minutes to get there.
     3. You can also use Goggle Maps on your phone, if you get lost. Bate’s Alley is a destination that is listed on Goggle Maps.

When you enter the Parking lot, you will be given a ticket for the parking lot. You will need the ticket to get out of the parking lot. Once you leave you will not be able to return to the parking lot.
