Jim,
One option is to have your original radiator re-cored. You really don’t notice  the difference unless you are a  radiator guru. The cost is not low though. $300 or more. The cooling Can be 150% or more improved.

Here are the final pictures. Please let me know if I should be putting these elsewhere. Basically, I included what I'd want if just starting out. BTW, my set up did not have an "unlocking wire assembly pin and top (a cotter pin)" as mentioned in the manual; just the hex with the set screw.

I owe a huge debt to Dave Edwards and his drawings, both the original in this thread and the one he provided me on the invoice for my replacement springs (included). Thank you Dave!!! I NEVER would have guessed otherwise how to hook the springs to the body. The tiny hole was invisible under dirt and grease and the square cut-out looks just like a...well...square cut-out.

In the picture of my final assembly I don't have the hood release cable attached, however you can see it waiting its turn in the background. That installation came over an hour or more later when I discovered I had to get a cross panel on first. By that time I was not thinking about pictures.

I think I got it right, or close enough. :-)

Re: CC Crosley Hood Latch

Because I have learned Crosleys are a little like snowflakes, I am posting a drawing of our hood latch installation as compared to an excerpt of the drawing Dave Edwards did and that Dave Aschliman graciously provided earlier in the thread. You'll note that our car has only one bracket. (Dennis - the hoodlatch in the photo you provided  for your 47 pickup is like this too I think.) I found remnants of the two springs noted in Dave Edward's full drawing but I still can't find out how they are to be connected, even though I believe I do know what they're supposed to do. I hope to reach Dave Edwards  for advice on that. If you read the published print on Dave's drawing you see that the big spring was added in mid 47 as an auxiliary spring; a retrofit. My guess is the first iteration were the two coil springs alone and these may have been problematic. The question is whether they are needed at all.
Am continuing to clean parts, blithely ignoring headlight removal and Douglas connectors. Will post some curated photos when done.

You have what appears to be the rear shaft for the hydraulic system/draw bar and the front lift system for the front mower.  The answer is yes, they have value, and yes, there are people who would want to buy them.  Where are you?  your best bet might be to get a member in your area to come and look at what you have.

I do know that one part not pictured is a three head mower deck set of transmissions.
