A tiny silver lining for those of us for whom attending and bringing our car is not practical. We can enter our car virtually!
This might be an opportunity to get the largest "showing" ever.

Thank you Crosley leadership for the well thought out safety-oriented decision. I am extremely disappointed, but the events of the past 3 months are new to all of us! I surely recognize the necessary strength and intelligence to arrive at this sad and, I am sure, very difficult decision.

I agree and will put on moderate, anyone that turns it into a political debate.

Many things were discussed before the vote and they all added up to the decision. But one, that we would have had a problem getting around, was the state of Ohio on May 29th extended to July 1st the ban on gathering larger than 50. If they would have extended it again, it would have been a cancellation days before the meet. We were already required to limit the meet to 200 people and eliminated many of the activities. It would not been the show everyone wanted.

Thank you Sam, I totally agree. I was born when Eisenhower was president, grew up admiring the greatest generation, and I respect all opinions whether or not they are consistent with my own.

For fifty years I’ve always said that old car people are the best folks on the planet. Together, we can keep it that way.

So picked up this block from a parts horde, Need help wit ID.

I have decided it's some version of a Homelite. Searching can't find any reference to this serial #. however for a start the oil filler port on the crankcase indicates it is 1964 or later. One big mystery is that there is no letter (A-F) under the 5 digit number cast into the block. Does te D13 on the attached plate provide a hint?  Any help would be reatly appreciated.

Thanks Neal! I'll give that a try. Thank you also for the heads up about the drawing-Jim

James, I just recently did a 6 bolt water pump, I just used a piece
Of hardwood tapered at the end to a flat end I then just caught the edge, if you look there maybe a small indent that catches the cap, I started there giving it sharp raps out the way the cap needed to go, it took a little time to break it loose but it did come off ok. James if by chance you buy a rebuild kit from service motor the drawing they sent with mine was not correct so you may need to check on that.

Hello everyone,  I was wondering if there is a special way to remove the steel cap on a six bolt water pump without damaging the cap (or the body of the pump, for that matter). I've searched this forum and couldn't find a discussion that answered it. There's a really detailed (almost an hour) total video on youtube  but the cap was off already and the gentleman made a nice bronze replacement cap (I'm not that skilled). Any information, as always, will be greatly appreciated. Jim Hudson

1950 Fly and Harwood "Little Chief" Crosley Fire Truck For Sale.

Here it is. Spotlight Class First Place Winner at Wauseon.

This vehicle is fully restored and in great condition. Everything works. Electrical has been upgraded to 12 volts to support the lights and siren. An electric fuel pump prevents vapor lock. A cooling fan has been added to keep things cool during parades. Correct dual wheels help support the load of children. A genuine Mars red light adorns the roof. I personally knew of this vehicle before it was restored. The transformation was amazing.

Fly and Harwood built concession stands and less than 20 of these Fire Trucks. This is a rare and unique piece and ready to show-and-go.

You'll have to search far and wide for a long time to find another this nice.

Located in northern Illinois. I ask that you directly email the seller to discuss the vehicle and price. More pictures are available.

My switch is missing the button and installed upside down.  I pushed in the hole with an ice pick and pushed the lever holding in the shaft.   Worked great.   Thanks to all and happy Memorial Day!

Shaft and knob are one piece.  It doesn't unscrew.  Reach under dash and on top switch.  Feel for little button.  Press it down.  Knob/shaft should pull free of switch.
