Re: Car Transport Companys?
I got badly burned on the first car hauler I hired years ago that turned out to not own any trucks, he just hire wildcat drivers to pick up cars. He promised 2 weeks and it ended up being many months and then damaged the truck getting it delivered. He said to submit a quote and hi insurance would pay for the damage, I did and never heard from him again and his phone no longer was answered. Since then I have only used Passport. They are not cheap but they do a very professional job.

Mike, have you tried you ship. Put in your request and different companies will bid on shipping cost. Might be worth a shot. You don’t need to accept any of the offers, and most companies on there Have customer reviews.

Thank you sir! That is all I wanted - just a starting point. Nowhere near enough details to put a real value on the car, I just need a good baseline to start with.

From the pictures on the site, it looks like a solid body that has had a fair amateur restoration. No pictures of interior but I see hints of it that do not appear original. Engine and running condition are unknown. I'd say probably 2,500 with what you know. If the interior is decent and it runs ok, you could double that for a driver.

David,
CE, will be an engine number, for some stupid reason, a number of states used the engine number for title and registration purposes. No, automatic transmissions were never used in Crosleys, from the factory. Who knows what someone may have done in the mean time. Pricing, I will leave to others, as they're all over the place. Re: Clutch and pressure plate

6" possibly has a bit smoother engagement. The 6 1/2 has more holding power. Both of those claims are subject to conditions.

Yes, the flywheel/pressure plates, have different bolt patterns. Butch

Clutch and pressure plate
Good morning from California,
I see from Service Motors there is a 6 inch and a 61/2 inch clutch and pressure plate. Is there a difference in performance of the clutch? Are the bolt holes different ? What cars used 6 vs 61/2. I have a Faegol 44 I am installing in my hotshot. Just want to make sure I get the right clutch.

Hi Welcome to the group. Feel free to ask any questions here. Everyone is more than helpful. Do you have any Crosley’s yourself? Where are you located?
