We Lost Dave Eager CAC #47
I heard today that Dave Eager of Indiana passed this past week. He was one of the founding members of the Crosley Auto Club with membership number 47. Not many 2 digit members left. He was a long time friend, I think I first met Dave in 1972 and many times after at Wauseon.
Condolences to the family. Jim...

Re: 6 Bolt water pump help
Butch
The drawing is wrong. The large end, it should be a vee, like and
arrow head, goes up, into the bore. The VEE sealing rings go over it
and it helps expand them.

All you need to do is change the bullets on the end of your wire.

Re: Crosley Brake Switch Question
Butch
Take it to a parts or an electrical supply house, find a couple of female bullet connectors, the correct size, and male connectors that fit the harness, and make a couple of pigtail adapters. If you don't mind modifying the harness, you can also cut the harness connectors off and just replace them.

If the difference isn't too large, just crimp the harness connector down, onto the switch terminals. Butch

Crosley Automobile Club, National Meet Update :
Members and concerned parties : Our club president, Dave Anspach, Our Senior board member, Jim Bollman, and myself as your Vice President, Co-chairman and treasurer, have decided that the 2020 National Meet will proceed as planned. We will however proceed according to Ohio State regulations and or Fulton County regulations and Fair board regulations moving forward. We are still optimistic the show will go on. I will keep you updated on any regulations we need to be aware of. Most everyone has received the Quarterly with the Meet pre-registration printed on page 16. PLEASE cut it out and send it to Co-chair Janyne Smith as instructed on the form. In the event we can not have our meet, we will still need these registrations to send your 2020 dash plaque And all registered cars will be eligible for online voting if necessary. YES, we still plan to have a national meet and voting WITH trophies for 2020 even if we are not able to be together. Any money you send for pre-registration for camping, vending, or the banquet, will be refunded if the meet is cancelled. Let's all stay positive and hope and pray we will be allowed to see everyone July 6 - 11 Fulton County Fairgrounds, Wauseon, Ohio for the Crosley Automobile Club 2020 "The Vision Continues" National Meet. Sincerely, Jeffrey Ackerman

Crosley Brake Switch Question
jeff <jeffalyon@...>
I received a new brake light switch from one of the Crosley vendors. It has two male prongs. But the prongs are a smaller diameter than the standard wiring harness bullet connectors. So a wiring connector will not connect the wiring harness to the brake light switch due to the connector fitting too loose on the smaller diameter brake switch prongs.
Any ideas how to make this work? Thanks Jeff

Re: Decode a cobra engine
I would say early 1949 by just making some guess on production of 49s before cast iron engines were put into production, very late CoBra. The number under the generator is a casting number, I never tried track crankcases to see if they changed the casting number or not.

Decode a cobra engine
nadno1
Hello I found this engine complete in a barn in Iowa, the numbers on the starter side boss are 61564, the numbers under the generator are 205160, I think the 61564 puts it late 48 early 49, the other numbers I am not sure of, also it has a plate over the fuel pump mount so can I add a fuel pump to this for sure, only intend to get it redone as a running display piece. Thanks for any help. Sent from my Verizon, Samsung Galaxy smartphone
