Cuno Engineering Corporation. I found some info related to it. Something similar is called the Cuno Auto-Klean Filter. Interesting, Cuno is still around!

From the photos this looks like an electromagnetic device to filter any metal particles out of the oil?

I talked to Mr. Brajevitch and he said they have not had any for a very long time. Very nice man! Well worth a try though! Thanks: Dennis

I asked for more pictures and information. He said he would take some detail pictures of the filter and "The inside of the filter has very fine vane that intertwines with rotating vanes that seem to clean the filter."

Is that a centrifugal filter? I never heard of that type of filter.

A fellow sent me the following pictures asking for info. We are assuming it is some kind of oil filter. It came off the side of the pan in a 48 Crosley.  The pan pictures show how it was mounted, not sure what the 12 bolt steel reinforced mod was for.

Anyone seen one?

Very interesting. I would like to see better pictures of the "filter". How does it break down? It kind of looks like the re-enforced part of the pan was used as a pass through for tubing.

Fore sale listing

Gabriel Haddad

Hey all,
Here is a listing for a 48 Wagon. I checked it out and the body is in really good condition. Frame looked straight. It's a basic model. Cast bock and Carter Carb. 6" brakes. Runs per owner with low oil pressure after it warms up. Hood, front clip and, bottom of the front fenders are the worst condition as they have a lot of body filler. Paint is obviously not original and is a poor overcoat. Tires are of era but, 4.60's. Interior is seats only, all paneling has been removed. Windows and seals are in really great shape. Hatchback window is out but, clear. Gas tank is fabricated. No spare or tire carrier. I assume it has a title as it has a current plate (I forgot to ask).
I am not in the market for it and I can't make any promises on my observations.

Good luck, Gabe.
