radio antenna wire

I am in need of the cable that goes between the antenna and the radio in our 48 wagon.  Anyone have a broken antenna laying around that they would sell the cable off of?
thanks,

Crosley Welder - for trade

Jerry and Kathy

I have a Crosley welder with a Cobra motor and a later cast Iron Block, Engine does run but I have not tried the welder as I really do not understand how it works.
I need the space more than I need this welder
I would like to see the welder go to someone who will use it or restore it,
Welder is free if I remove the motor or you can have it as a complete setup if you have a motor in similar shape to trade
I'm also open to offers or ideas
I have lots of pictures if you need more
Located near Seattle
Thanks, Jerry

Re: Wipers.

I know that this is an old topic, but I just finished installing 12v electric wipers in my 48 CC. I got 2 rear window wiper motors from a couple of 2006 Subaru legacy outback SUVs. Had to make mounting brackets for each but they fit nicely. Had to modify 1 of them slightly because of the glove box. The sweep is about right. I used universal arms and blades for a 41 Jeep.

Thanks, Brian. Easy drive and great trip home, especially sailing across on the Badger. Had several Crosley encounters along the way.

I need to come Milwaukee and see your cars sometime.

Thanks all, I did take a lot of pictures but there was so much going on this year I missed a lot of things and it was easy to get in a conversation and realize you were late or missed something at a different spot in the fairgrounds. The last few years Kelly Gladden has shared her photos with me which helped fill in a lot of spots I missed and Joe Kaczmar shared the great wide-angle shots of the 50 and 80 when I was down below being part of the numbers (can you see me :-) and didn't have the equipment to capture the shot anyway.

Hello all,
After posting last time inquiring about a carburetor rebuild kit for our '39 coupe convertible, we have run into other problems.  I had a friend who does a lot of work on carbs for jet-skis take a look at it and had some problems.  He got is partially apart and cleaned it really well.  Had lots of soot and other buildup from gas decades ago.  He said he could only separate the carb about an inch and something was catching internally and was afraid if he tried to hard to separate it, something would break and be un-repairable.  We also have a very old book with about 6 pages all about Crosley maintenance.  We were attempting to adjust the set adjustment screws as the manual states but they are seized up as well.  In his past experiences, breaking those loose also causes future fuel leaks.  Long story short, the engine runs fine anything above idle, if we let the RPMs drop to idle speed, it dies.  Thought that a good cleaning would help clear this problem up and run better but it didn't.  He believe there is something else in the carb not working properly.

So with his recommendation, I am here looking for another carb in good working order, or another carb to use for parts to fix this one if we break something when trying to fully separate the carb.  Attached is a picture of the carb currently on the car.

If anyone can help please respond to this post with contact information and myself or my dad will get in touch.  My grandpa (who is now gone) bought the car new and we really wanted to get it drive-able before he past but ran out of time.  So we would really like to get it up and going before we loose to much more time so my dad, his siblings, and rest of our family can enjoy this fun little car.

Thank you very much in advance!

Re: I just subscribed to group

Don & Claudia,  pleasure to meet you today.  Hope you didn't over heat at the American Motors meet.  We left to get something to eat at the Waffle House and when walking out of the restaurant, heard screaming.  A girl was being attacked by one of those big pit bull type dogs, right next to the road on the opposite side.  No one was stopping to help, so I struggled across 4 lanes of traffic to help.  By the time I got there, a car did stop & we got the car between the dog & girl.  Pretty scary......wish I would have had a weapon of some type to kill that dog......

I have  given much thought o making them, but thought maybe I could get lucky.
