Radio front and knobs
Spock Arnold
I have someone with availability of a 3D printer and is willing to make the radio false fronts and knobs if there is someone out there that has examples to use for patterns. Please contact me off board. Thank you

Selling parts at Hershey Oct. 9-13
I will be taking some Crosley parts to Hershey Oct. 9-13 and was wondering if anyone needs something that I might have! I have a bunch of stuff, mostly mechanical stuff but I do have a few body items and such. If you need something let me know and I will check to see if I have it and could bring it to Hershey.

Re: No high end power

Another good thought Gabe, Jeff told me the car at rest would rev all the way up with no problem. It also seemed to go to top end in first gear, however under load of second and third would not speed up.

The switch tab looks something like this.

The indicator light is in the CD dashcluster. Just one little light that blinks for either side. If you look at the Crosley logo on the dash cluster, you will see a little light on the left and one to the right. One is the high beams indicator, the other is the turn signal indicator.

Not sure what the tab looks like, but it is not very big to fit in the little hole. It slides! Mostly to the left. The wires are shot, so I will be removing it to clean. Is there a dash turn indicator light or two in this setup? Do owners add them? Cheers

Re: Turn Signal Switch
The original switch is there, it's missing the slide tab. It's in pretty rough condition but, it may be restorable. Don't through it away!

Short answer.....no! Correct switch is a side to side slide.

Re: Turn Signal Switch
Oh yes, the heater. That explains the extra holes in the firewall and the missing hoses. They forgot the heater fan switch. So, what is left of the turn signal looks like this attached image. Was there an oem turn signal switch for the bottom of the dash? There is a bunch of wires and a flasher relay wired to this stump.

It's a heater switch. My 49 has one, I found it in the glove box. Attached are some picks that's the turn signal mine came with.

Yes, A new exaust system, and everything else completely restored. I will have some time tomorrow late afternoon to work on a couple of suggestions. I will let you know how it turns out.

Nice idea Todd, but this is a new restoration with, (I think) a new exhaust system.

Possible plugged or partially plugged exhaust. My wife's 2001 VW Jetta wagon just had similar probs. The cat went bad, broke into chunks and would partially block the exhaust. Car ran fine in low end...but could not get over 40mph if your life depended on it. I have seen squirels fill exhauts with nuts etc from sitting...may wanna look into this... Todd Toledo Ohio

What is missing here is that Jeff has replaced the carb and the fuel pump with others from a running engine with no improvement. He has rebuilt the distributor, reset the timing a number of times and all of this on a fresh professional rebuild.

This would be easy to do for a test . Open the main jet a 1/4 of a turn. If it gets better open another 1/4 turn. Runs in my mind you said it is a Tillotson carburetor.

The advance in the distributor, is a centrifical force advance consisting of two lobes that fly out at around 650 rpm. I did replace them with another set and they to work smoother. Still not the problem though. I am going to take a second look at the fuel line and connections. I am open to any and all suggestions though.
