To all the club members,

I live very close to this Crosley.  A year ago I went over and visited with Darrin and his father.  Everything is exactly as described.  Darrin has sent me many pictures that I will gladly share.  Feel free to ask.  If you want, I will be glad to go back over and be your “mobile” eyes to look things over once again and provide “live” descriptions.

I will try to add more detail in the next few days. Receipts total over $5000 not including what he paid for the car, plus parts he paid cash for. 1950 Crosley Wagon
$3,500 - Round Lake, IL

Hello, my father and I were in the process of restoring this 1950 Crosley station wagon. He became ill and passed away. Now we're forced to sell it due to space and time issues.

Here are the basics. I can add many more pics and the details.

The body was removed and acid dipped
The frame was stripped, then re-painted
Rebuilt engine, generator, and starter 6-volt
New brakes, brake lines, king pins, shocks
The drivetrain is ready to go.

There are a ton of new parts. All weather stripping, grill, glass is complete (mostly used glass except for 2 new windows).

Sounds cool Bob, I see you are at the same place I visited a few years back.  Really miss those Phoenix trips.  I added a couple of pictures from Bob's model car collection - a very impressive display.

The Crosley models in my collection are scratch built in 1-25 scale using sheet plastic in their construction. The ones I have are 3 cd wagons, 1 cd panel delivery, 1 cd pickup, 4 made of wood include 2 cd convertibles, and 2 vc roadsters. I will be taking pictures after Christmas. Mike, welcome to the world of Crosley ! The best way to start getting the Crosley quarterly, is to become a member of the club. You will find a membership form on our club website. You are always welcome to ask any questions you may have and either myself or someone who knows the answer will certainly respond. As far as getting a copy of the winter quarterly, I will leave that up to Fred Syrdal, the club editor.

Im not in a huge hurry. I am in the middle of a restoration project.  I have a set but im not sure they are fixable...
