It is exactly like an aluminum pump, only more durable.
The next step is to remove the rear cover, heating the bolt and cover can help prevent them from breaking off.

In a box of old parts. I found this cast iron pump. I got the thin cap off. Now what? Is it like the aluminum pumps?

Two issues with the Crosley engine/Spridget rear end combination: Spridget diff ratios are typically higher than Crosley rear ends, and Crosley engines modified to produce that much
